Find out how to watch your favorite sappy, happy Hallmark movies
How to Watch the Hallmark Channel
We know you can’t get enough of those heart-warming, dramatic Hallmark movies beloved by all.
But you need to know which live TV streaming service or cable TV service has that lovable Hallmark content. Because, of course, you need to get your Hallmark Christmas movie fix (in December and in June) and also because it makes you feel happy, darn it.
Well, we're here to help you find that Hallmark goodness.
First, we’ll go over the ways to watch the Hallmark Channel without cable. Then we'll discuss the ways to watch the Hallmark Channel with cable.
How can I stream the Hallmark Channel without cable?
The Hallmark Channel is available to stream on Philo, Frndly TV, Peacock, Hallmark Movies Now, fuboTV, and YouTube TV.
Frndly TV, Peacock, and Hallmark Movies Now are going to be the most inexpensive options if you're looking to save money for holiday decorations.
If you're looking for entertainment all year long, Philo, fuboTV, and YouTube TV are the best live TV streaming services for streaming the Hallmark Channel.
Philo TV
Philo has the three Hallmark channels that you want: the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
You’ll get the trifecta along with more than 70 other channels for a reasonable price. Just $28 per month to watch the fantastic movies we all guiltily love and lots of other channels? Yeah, not bad.
And guess what else comes with that reasonable price? An unlimited DVR storage. And you can save your recordings for one year. (YouTube TV saves your recordings for only nine months.)
This means you can save your favorite Hallmark Christmas movie to watch in January or February (c’mon, we all do it)!
The channels you’ll get with your Philo subscription along with the three Hallmark channels include:
- Animal Planet
- BBC America
- The Cooking Channel
- Discovery Channel
- Food Network
- HGTV
- History Channel
- Investigation Discovery (ID)
- Lifetime
- MTV
- Nickelodeon
- Paramount Network
And you can watch all of these channels on your iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone and tablet, Android TV, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and online.
Frndly TV
Frndly TV is a simple and affordable streaming service with over 40 live channels, unlimited DVR storage space, and a library of on-demand content.
You’ll get the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channels for the price of a 12-pack of soda.
Live TV channels you’ll get access to with Frndly TV are the following:
- A&E
- History Channel
- Game Show Network
- The Weather Channel
- Outdoor Channel
- Sportsman Channel
- World Fishing Network
- Lifetime
- Lifetime Movie Network
- BabyFirst
- QVC
- VICE
So watch My Norwegian Holiday and A Not So Royal Christmas one day, and entertain your baby with the BabyFirst channel the next.
And this live TV streaming service lets you record anything and everything under the sun with its unlimited DVR storage space.
You can stream Frndly TV on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android smartphones and tablets, Android TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast.
NBCUniversal Peacock TV
If you're looking for Hallmark content, you'll find it with Peacock TV. And the good news is that you'll get the same level of access to content with both plans.
We like Peacock Premium Plus because you can watch all on-demand content without ads, including our beloved Hallmark movies. And if you're prepping for a wintery cabin Christmas, with this plan, you'll also be able to download titles for offline viewing. For the price of a couple of stocking stuffers, you'll be able to watch Christmas with a Kiss while putting up your Christmas decorations.
And a bonus for Hallmark fans: Peacock subscribers will have next-day access to Hallmark series such as When Calls the Heart as well as access to Miracles of Christmas films three days after they air.
With this on-demand streaming service, you'll also get access to the following live channels:
- Classic TV Crime
- Dateline 24/7
- Hell's Kitchen
- LOL! Network
- NBC News NOW
- NBC Sports
- Premier League TV
- SNL Vault
- Snapped
- True Crime
- Unsolved Mysteries
- WWE Network
Hallmark Movies Now
If you’re not interested in a live TV streaming service, and you want only Hallmark content, try out the Hallmark Movies Now app.
It’s the price of a fancy coffee each month, and you’ll get to stream movies, series, and specials from the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Hall of Fame. You can even explore the platform with Hallmark Now's 7-day free trial.
One nice bonus to getting the app rather than a live TV streaming service is that there are no ads. So watch all of the spring, fall, Valentine’s, and Christmas Hallmark movies with zero interruptions.

If you know you’ll be watching all of the season and holiday movies year-round, we recommend you sign up for one full year with Hallmark Movies Now for $79.99. You’ll save $2 each month (to go toward your movie snacks)!

- Samsung smart TV

YouTube TV is one of our favorite live TV streaming services. So, if you're looking for a service for the whole family all year round, this just might be the one for you.
Enjoy one of the most well-rounded channel lineups, an unlimited DVR storage for all the Hallmark movies, and your family can watch on three different streaming devices at once.

- Bravo
- CNN
- Disney Channel
- Disney Jr.

fuboTV
You may have heard of fuboTV as the live streaming service for sports fans, but over the past couple of years, fuboTV has turned itself into a streaming service for the whole family.
And guess what? The entry-level plan has your Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channels.
If you’re iffy about spending extra money for fuboTV for the Hallmark Channel and want to make sure it fits your family’s needs, here's a sneak peak of the Pro package's channels ($75 per month):
- Animal Planet
- Big Ten Network
- CBS Sports Network
- CNN
- Disney Channel
- Food Network
- FOX News
- FS1, FS2
- FX, FXX
- Golf Channel
- HGTV

How can I watch the Hallmark Channel with cable or satellite TV?
If you want cable or satellite TV, the Hallmark Channel is available with DISH TV, Xfinity TV, Spectrum TV®, Cox TV, and DIRECTV.
Xfinity TV, Spectrum TV®, and Cox TV will be the best cable TV options for your Hallmark holiday movie-watching.
If you're looking for a satellite TV provider because you want loads of channels, DISH TV and DIRECTV have your Hallmark Channel.
DISH TV
DISH TV Network is the most widely available and best way to get all three of the Hallmark channels among these TV providers.
This satellite provider gives you the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in packages with 240+ or 290+ other channels.
Enjoy watching episodes of The Christmas Cottage and then switching over to the Golf Channel or Game Show Network.
If you want the America’s Top 200 package, it rings in at $113 per month and comes with lots of sports channels. And if you want America’s Top 250, your monthly bill will be $123 with a ton of movie channels.
To help you further decide which package you should get, check out the channel lineups. You’ll get the following channels with America’s Top 200:
- Disney Channel
- ESPN
- HGTV
- Lifetime Movie Network
- MLB Network
- NBA TV
- NFL Network
- Nickelodeon
America’s Top 250 includes the following channels:
- Bloomberg Television
- MGM+ Drive-In
- FX Movie Channel
- MoviePlex
- NBC Universo
- Nicktoons
- STARZ Encore Action
- STARZ Encore Family
- STARZ Encore Westerns
- The Movie Channel
Comcast Xfinity TV
If you’re not interested in getting satellite TV, the next best provider for the Hallmark channels is Xfinity cable TV. We need our Christmas movie fix, someway somehow.
Xfinity’s Popular TV package for $50/month includes the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. But this package doesn’t have Hallmark Drama.
If you upgrade to the Ultimate TV package, you'll get all three Hallmark channels within your 185-channel lineup for $68.50/month.
So, of course, we recommend the Ultimate TV package to get all of the Hallmark channels (and 60 total more channels) for about $20 more.
Keep in mind that Xfinity has different prices depending on where you live in the US. Find out more info about the plans, contracts, and fees in our full review.
Spectrum TV®
For $40 a month, the Spectrum TV® Stream plan offers the classic Hallmark channel as well as the Hallmark Drama and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. For $95 a month, Spectrum's TV Select Signature package also includes every Hallmark channel plus a basic Disney+ subscription, but it's almost double the cost of TV Stream.
Compared to Xfinity TV, Xfinity's packages offer 25 fewer channels for $10 less (Popular TV), or 30 more channels for $4 more (Ultimate TV). But if Xfinity isn't available in your area–don't worry–Spectrum is our second favorite cable TV provider.
Spectrum TV®'s plan includes the following channels:
- ACC Network (ACCN)
- BBC America
- Bravo
- Cartoon Network
- CNN
- Disney Channel
- ESPN, ESPN2
- Food Network
- Fox Sports (FS1)
- FX Movie Channel
- HGTV
- HISTORY
- Investigation Discovery
- Lifetime
- Nickelodeon
- Oxygen
If you want to know more about where Spectrum is available in the US and what kind of equipment you receive with this cable TV provider, check out our Spectrum TV® Review.
Cox TV
Cox’s Contour TV Preferred package for $115/month is the one you want to watch Magic in Mistletoe or Christmas on Cherry Lane.
You’ll get the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, along with 170 other channels.
This isn't the ideal cable TV option when Xfinity gives you the three Hallmark channels for $30 less each month and with 45 more channels. (Cox, you gotta step it up).
Xfinity is more widely known and trusted because it’s available in more areas of the US than Cox is. But if you live in one of the 19 states where Cox is available, you’ll love the DVR.
Cox’s DVR stores 340 HD or 1,000 SD hours, while the Xfinity X1 DVR stores about 100 HD and 500 SD hours. It adds up when you record Hallmark movies and TV shows you want to save for a long time.
For example, when you want to save Christmas movies to watch in June (amirite or amirite?).
If you want to know where Cox is available in the US or want to know more about its excellent bundle customization or the DVR, take a look at our Cox TV Review.
DIRECTV via Satellite
DIRECTV—the second-best satellite TV service, in our opinion—has some pros and cons we think you need to know about before ordering. For example, you can get plans via an internet connection if you'd rather avoid the hassle of a satellite dish. Plus, some internet packages are a few dollars cheaper.
First of all, DIRECTV offers the Hallmark Channel in all of its packages! And the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel is included in the entry-level package! So you'll only need to get the $70/month ENTERTAINMENT plan for both Hallmark channels DIRECTV offers.
But there are two caveats:
- DIRECTV offers Hallmark Movies & Mysteries only in its ENTERTAINMENT and PREMIER packages, and the Hallmark Drama channel doesn't exist in DIRECTV's lineup.
- The monthly price of $70 only lasts for the first two years of your satellite contract.
- Oh yeah, there’s a third caveat: there’s a 2-year contract.
Thankfully, gone are the days of second-year price hikes with DIRECTV. After your contract, your monthly price will match DIRECTV's prices at that time.
DIRECTV is an excellent option if you don’t have any cable TV services in your area or prefer DIRECTV’s big channel lineup.

Recap: How can I watch the Hallmark Channel?
Of course, you’re here because you just want to figure out the best way to watch the Hallmark Channel with or without cable, so let us recap why a Hallmark fan should get one of these services:
- Philo: Philo isn’t for the news or sports fans, but it’s a dream for the lifestyle and entertainment watchers. You’ll get all three Hallmark channels for $28. With that, you’ll get over 60 channels, including Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, and the Food Network.
- Frndly TV: For the same price as Hallmark Movies Now, you get 40 additional channels with Frndly TV! That’s hard to beat. You’ll get the Hallmark channel trio along with The Weather Channel, BabyFirst, and Game Show Network.
- Peacock TV: This on-demand streaming service gives you access to the Hallmark library. Watch heart-warming movies, current TV shows, and 80,000+ hours of content without ads for $14 per month.
- Hallmark Movies Now: Although we do recommend live TV streaming services so your whole family can be happy with the channel choices, Hallmark Movies Now is perfect for those who want only Hallmark content for $6 per month.
- YouTube TV: If you want all three Hallmark channels, a well-rounded 85+ channel lineup for the family, and an unlimited DVR storage for $73 per month, YouTube TV is it. And if your spouse is a die-hard NFL football fan, they will love NFL SUNDAY TICKET.
- fuboTV: fuboTV is not only excellent for sports-watching families, but you’ll also find channels for kids, lifestyle, and news. FuboTV's Pro package has the Hallmark, Hallmark Movies, and Hallmark Drama channels for $75. It’s up to you to decide which package is best for your budget and family.
- DISH: First of all, DISH offers all three Hallmark channels, unlike any of the other cable or satellite TV providers. But DISH will be a little pricier than the rest at $113–$123, but you get 240+ or 290+ other channels. DISH is available anywhere since you just need to put a satellite dish on top of your house to enjoy all of these channels.
- Xfinity: Xfinity’s Ultimate TV package is the way to go if you want cable TV. It’s $68.50 per month for 185+ channels, and you get the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama channels. Xfinity is also reliable and widely available.
- Spectrum: Spectrum's TV Stream and Select packages offer the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
- Cox: The Contour TV Preferred package has the Hallmark Channel and Movies & Mysteries, but you’ll be paying $115 per month for 140 channels. If you live in an area where Cox is available, you’ll love the DVR and the bundling options. It’ll be hard to fill a DVR storage of 1,000 hours, so record all of the Hallmark movies you want!
- DIRECTV: You can get the Hallmark Channel with DIRECTV for $70/month. Your monthly price might increase a bit in the second year of your contract, but if you don’t have other cable TV options or you like the channel lineup, then just budget accordingly.
If you want more details about the channel lineup for each streaming service, check out our channel comparison review.
