The Xfinity Mobile Select plan offers 50GB of high-speed data, hotspot data, and unlimited talk and text from the United States to Canada and Mexico (and 5GB of data to use in these areas). While you can only stream movies in SD, you still get something called WiFi Powerboost, which increases your data speeds up to 1 Gig whenever you’re connected to your Xfinity Internet at home or to an Xfinity hotspot on the go.
In comparison, 30GB of high-speed data on a Verizon Unlimited plan is $80 per line — Xfinity Mobile will only charge you $30 per month, and it uses the same towers as Verizon, so it gets the same coverage.
Xfinity has an ongoing deal for its Xfinity Internet customers to get this plan for free for the first 12 months.

This is Xfinity’s top-tier plan and it is perfect for someone who heavily relies on their data and hotspot. Xfinity won’t slow you down on this plan (no matter how much data you use). Even your hotspot data allotment goes up to 50GB—a huge quantity—and you can access millions of public Xfinity hotspots when you’re out and about. The Unlimited Premium plan offers extra perks like 4K video streaming, Xfinity Call Guard (to protect from spam), and the ability to upgrade your phone two times a year.
The plan is much cheaper than a single line of Verizon’s most expensive plan. Right now, take advantage of the promotion where you can get this Premium Unlimited plan for only $15 per line per month for 12 months.

The Xfinity Mobile Select plan is an excellent choice for anyone who is a heavy data user (you get 50GB of high-speed data), but doesn’t need to rely on hotspots often and doesn’t care for premium perks like upgrading their phone. The standard Unlimited plan is worth it because it is currently free for the first 12 months.

Frequently asked questions about Xfinity Mobile cell phone plans and deals
Xfinity Mobile is a postpaid plan that is billed at the end of each billing cycle, alongside your postpaid internet plan. Xfinity does offer a prepaid mobile service called NOW Mobile, which is a separate service. NOW Mobile (by Xfinity) costs $25 per month and has no credit checks. You still need an Xfinity Internet account.
According to Xfinity Mobile's website, there are no specific senior discounts.
However, according to the Xfinity Mobile rep I spoke to, you can try asking for a senior discount when applying through customer services. Call 1-800-Xfinity (1-800-934-6489).
Xfinity Mobile charges a one-time fee of $25 for every new phone or tablet line added to your account. So expect a larger bill for the first month.
