Across the state, South Carolina has well-connected cities and expanding networks. Major metros like Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville benefit from extensive fiber and cable services, with providers like Spectrum and AT&T delivering high-speed connectivity.
Myrtle Beach is another well-connected coastal area with strong fiber and cable internet coverage. Spartanburg and the Midlands (Lexington and Richland Counties) are undergoing fiber expansion, with Lumos investing $100 million to install 1,200 miles of fiber-optic lines across these regions and the greater Columbia area.
However, while coverage is strong in more populated areas, the state must still expand to connect all residents.
