Streaming costs are rising, but if you’re a Spectrum TV customer, you might already be covered. Every live cable package includes up to 9–10 popular streaming apps — with no extra charge. All you need to do is add them to your account.

With the TV Select Signature plan, you're getting at least $100 worth of streaming apps bundled in.

I checked the fine print: as long as you stay on a qualifying plan, the apps are yours.

Which apps you get — and whether you get the ad-free or ad-supported tier — depends on which Spectrum TV plan you choose. Here's the full breakdown.

Hi, I'm Kelly. I cover tech and service reviews and love to help customers get the most bang for their buck. For this article, I went through Spectrum's plan terms to map out exactly which streaming apps you get depending on your plan. I stay up-to-date on all things Spectrum, from new deals and price changes to acquisitions, and as a lifelong streaming mooch who's been borrowing friends' and family's passwords since high school, I know my way around a good streaming deal.

This plan is the right fit if you want an all-inclusive watching experience. It includes ad-free premium streaming, expanded sports coverage, and over 230 channels in one package. Platinum also includes Entertainment+, Sports View — a package of 16 sports channels including NFL Network, NBA TV, and MLB Network — and STARZ.

Entertainment+ is marketed as an add-on that includes three apps: ad-free HBO Max, Paramount+ Premium, and Showtime. Since HBO Max and Paramount+ are already included, this add-on mostly just gets you Showtime.

How much are the included apps worth?

To see if you save money on streaming, let's take a look at the actual math. Below is a breakdown of the total monthly cost of each Spectrum TV plan and the included app value:

Plan
Monthly Cost
Included App Value
TV Select Signature$100/mo. for 1 year (reg. $130/mo.)$118.91/mo.
TV Select Plus$110/mo. for 1 year (reg. $140/mo.)$128.90/mo.
TV Platinum$145/mo. for 1 year (reg. $175/mo.)$141.40/mo.
Mi Plan Latino$75/mo. for 1 year (reg. $90/mo.)$14.98/mo.

You can total up the cost of each streaming service you currently have or want to get, and then compare it to the cost of Spectrum TV's plans. Then, factor in the cost of a live TV service to see if you save.

Chances are, you don't use all of these services, so the bundled savings won't match dollar-for-dollar what you currently pay.

However, you get access to more streaming services than you would if you had to pay for them outright, and access to 150+ live channels that a standalone streaming bundle can't replace. If even four to five of the included apps overlap with services you're already paying for, the plan pays for itself — and that's before you factor in live TV.

Here’s a breakdown of the cost of each streaming service on its own:

Streaming Service Plan
Monthly Price
HBO Max Basic With Ads$10.99/mo.
HBO Max (Standard, ad-free)$18.49/mo.
Hulu (With Ads)$11.99/mo.
ESPN Unlimited$29.99/mo.
Disney+$7.99/mo.
Paramount+ Essential $8.99/mo.
Paramount+ Premium (ad-free)$13.99/mo.
Peacock Premium (with ads)$10.99/mo.
FOX One$19.99/mo.
AMC+$8.99/mo.
ViX Premium with ads$5.99/mo.
Tennis Channel$11.99/mo.

Editor’s verdict: Is Spectrum TV's streaming bundle worth it?

Spectrum TV’s streaming bundle is worth it for households that want live channels to watch alongside on-demand streaming services.

For households already paying for several streaming subscriptions and a live TV plan, Spectrum TV Select Signature is likely to come out ahead on cost. The included app value exceeds the plan's monthly promotional cost, and you get over 150 live channels on top of it for the first year at a promotional rate.

Ultimately, included streaming apps should be seen as a perk rather than your main driver for signing up for Spectrum TV. If you only use one or two streaming services and don't care about live TV, you're better off rotating subscriptions on your own schedule.

How to activate included streaming apps

Activating your included apps takes a few minutes per service. Here's how:

1

Log in to your Spectrum TV account

2

Go to Services and click View Current Plan

3

If eligible, you’ll see icons for each streaming app included.

4

Select the app you want to activate.

Follow the prompts to connect or create an account for that service. You'll need a separate account for each app, but you can use your Spectrum login to verify eligibility and streamline setup.
