NFL SUNDAY TICKET Review 2020
For all you die-hard NFL football fans, fantasy football players, and sports-betting junkies (you know who you are), look no further. DIRECTV NFL SUNDAY TICKET has you covered with every single out-of-market Sunday football game on your TV.
You heard me. Every. Single. Out-of-market. Sunday. Football. Game.
On top of your DIRECTV package of CHOICE or above, the whole season will cost you a pretty penny of $293.94 (or $48.99 per month), or you could upgrade to MAX for $100 more. So you could say this SUNDAY TICKET is for the megafans. The ultra-committed fans. The yell-at-the-TV-because-I’m-a-better-coach fans.
- Access to every out-of-market game
- Access to highlights of the games when upgraded to MAX
- Access to stats and analysis when upgraded to MAX
- Doesn’t show games broadcasted on your local CBS or FOX channels
- No refund if you choose to cancel midseason
- Not every area carries NFL SUNDAY TICKET (check your availability)
How much is NFL SUNDAY TICKET?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET costs less than one ticket for a solid seat at an NFL game, that much we can tell you
If you already have DIRECTV, you can add NFL SUNDAY TICKET or NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX on top of your existing package. You can even add it midseason like the Los Angeles Rams did with Jalen Ramsey.
If you activate an account today and get DIRECTV CHOICE or above, you will have access to NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX for free. And if you get the DIRECTV PREMIER package, it includes NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX and 35+ other sports channels.
Also, if you’re an actively enrolled college student, you get a nice discounted price. Because broke college student.

Data effective 8/19/2020. Offers are subject to change.
*For 12 months with a 2-yr contract, paperless bill, & autopay. Price increases for months 13-24
The six-month plan is a pretty hefty price upfront, but if you break it down by the 17 weeks of the regular football season, that’s about $18 per week. Keep in mind, you’ll also pay a $19.95 activation fee, and you could face some regional sports fees around $8 per month.
But NFL SUNDAY TICKET might be the best way to get access to all of the games.
Only hardcore fans will need it, but it’s not too bad of a price to keep track of your fantasy team, have Sunday football parties with close friends, or see all of the glorious highlights for each game.
What does each NFL SUNDAY TICKET plan include?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET provides you with all out-of-market Sunday football games on your TV or device. That’s close to 200 games to feed your professional football addiction.
What does NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX include?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX adds about $100 to your overall cost, but it does include the RED ZONE CHANNEL, the Fantasy Zone channel, and Short Cuts.
The NFL RED ZONE CHANNEL is meant to show you just that: when a team is in the red zone. This channel will jump to whichever team is inside the 20-yard line with a chance to score, so you’re guaranteed to see the best moments of the game.
Fantasy Zone is a live channel dedicated to fantasy football that provides real-time stats and analysis for those Fantasy League enthusiasts.
Short Cuts gives you condensed 30-minute games after they’ve been broadcasted. These replays are available from midnight ET on Sunday to midnight ET on Wednesday.
What does NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U include?
NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U for actively enrolled college students is essentially the MAX but for $320 cheaper. Check if you’re eligible.
Does NFL SUNDAY TICKET have a cancellation fee?
Unfortunately, if this is your sixth straight year of having a horrible fantasy team and you decide midseason that you want to cancel NFL SUNDAY TICKET, well, you can’t.
But if you decide you don’t want NFL SUNDAY TICKET the following year, you must cancel your subscription before the next season starts or it’ll renew itself.
Where is NFL SUNDAY TICKET available?
The biggest caveat to NFL SUNDAY TICKET is that DIRECTV is only available in certain areas. So check your eligibility like a future draft pick would.
How do I get NFL SUNDAY TICKET without DIRECTV?
If you don’t have a TV or DIRECTV, you could get NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV as a standalone streaming service. But it’s only available if you’re an actively enrolled college student or happen to live in one of these areas:
- Select metropolitan cities
- Select multi-dwelling units like buildings and condos where you can’t get DIRECTV installed
- Residences where DIRECTV can’t work due to obstructions blocking satellite signals
So again, we urge you to check your availability since DIRECTV is still trying to keep cable television alive. (Like the Cleveland Browns trying to keep their playoff chances alive.)
Does NFL SUNDAY TICKET cover the playoffs and Super Bowl?
For people who have NFL SUNDAY TICKET through DIRECTV, you’ll have access to some playoff games and the Super Bowl, depending on which channels you signed up for in your home DIRECTV package.
For people who have NFL SUNDAY TICKET TV, you’ll have to find yourself a Super Bowl watch party and a friend with cable who gets as pumped as you do during the playoff games.
Which devices are NFL SUNDAY TICKET compatible with?
You can stream your Sunday out-of-market games at the gym, at church, or while grocery shopping. But only on one device. So no sharing your password with anyone else, unless you want to be blocked from watching Tom Brady in his new uniform with his new team.
Just install the NFL SUNDAY TICKET app onto your computer, tablet, smartphone, or Wi-Fi connected streaming device. These compatible devices include the following:
- iPhones, iPads
- Android phones, Android tablets
- Apple TV
- Roku, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku TV
- Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick
- Xbox One
- Google Chromecast
- Android TV
- Playstation 4
Is NFL SUNDAY TICKET worth it?
Is drafting Christian McCaffrey worth it?
If watching every out-of-market football game with the push of a button is a must, then yes.
If watching your team play all 16 games of the regular season is a must, then yes.
If keeping track of your fantasy team is a must because you know this is your year, then yes.
But upgrading to the MAX subscription makes it even more worth the price for the extra channels and perks. Yeah, it’s a bummer you can only stream on one device at a time, but at least you’ll have the option to stream the games while you’re on the train.
While NFL SUNDAY TICKET isn’t exactly cheap, it’s a service for the fans who come to play. Like Aaron Rodgers in the 2018 Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears who beat them on one leg.
