How much is NFL SUNDAY TICKET?
If you already have DIRECTV, you can add NFL SUNDAY TICKET or NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX on top of your existing package. You can even add it midseason like the Miami Dolphins did with DeAndre Washington.
If you activate an account today and get DIRECTV CHOICE or above, you will have access to NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX. And if you get the DIRECTV PREMIER package, it includes NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX and 35+ other sports channels.
Also, if you’re an actively enrolled college student, you get a nice discounted price. Because broke college student.
The plan is a pretty hefty price upfront, but if you break it down by the 18 weeks of the regular football season, that’s about $17–$22 per week. (We also really like how DIRECTV didn't increase the price from two years ago despite the extra week of football we all now get to enjoy).
Keep in mind, you’ll also pay a $20 activation fee, and you could face some regional sports fees around $8 per month.
But trust us when we say NFL SUNDAY TICKET is the best way to get access to all of the out-of-market games.
Only hardcore fans will need it, but it’s not too bad of a price to keep track of your fantasy team, have Sunday football parties with close friends, or see all of the glorious highlights after each game.
What does each NFL SUNDAY TICKET plan include?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET provides you with all out-of-market Sunday football games in HD (high-definition) on your TV or device. That’s over 200 games to feed your professional football addiction.
This base sports package includes the following, as well:
- Video Playback: If you missed a touchdown, Video Playback allows you to replay all of the best highlights with just the tap of your finger.
- Game Mix: Game Mix gives you the opportunity to watch four or eight live games on one screen. You might find your friends asking you if they can come over on Sundays more often.
- Stats: While watching the live action, you can access stats, scores, and schedules in real-time.
- Short Cuts: Short Cuts lets you watch the full game as a condensed 30-minute version. Life happens, and if you missed the great Chiefs vs. Packers game over the weekend, you can watch the Short Cut anytime between Monday and Wednesday of the following week.
What does NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX include?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX adds about $100 to your overall cost, but it does include the RED ZONE CHANNEL and the FANTASY ZONE CHANNEL.
The NFL RED ZONE CHANNEL is meant to show you just that: when a team is in the red zone. This channel will jump to whichever team is inside the 20-yard line with a chance to score, so you’re guaranteed to see the best moments of the game.
FANTASY ZONE is a live channel dedicated to fantasy football that provides real-time stats and analysis for those Fantasy League enthusiasts.
What does NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U include?
NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U for actively enrolled college students is essentially the MAX but for only $100 for the season. Check if you’re eligible.
Does NFL SUNDAY TICKET have a cancellation fee?
Unfortunately, if this is your sixth straight year of having a horrible fantasy team and you decide midseason that you want to cancel NFL SUNDAY TICKET...well, you can’t.
But if you decide you don’t want NFL SUNDAY TICKET the following year, you must cancel your subscription before the next season starts or it’ll renew itself.
Where is NFL SUNDAY TICKET available?
The biggest caveat to NFL SUNDAY TICKET is that DIRECTV is only available in certain areas. So check your eligibility like a future draft pick would.
How do I get NFL SUNDAY TICKET without DIRECTV?
If you don’t have a TV or DIRECTV, you could get NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV as a standalone streaming service. But it’s only available if you’re an actively enrolled college student or happen to live in one of these areas:
- Select metropolitan cities
- Select multi-dwelling units like buildings and condos where you can’t get DIRECTV installed
- Residences where DIRECTV can’t work due to obstructions blocking satellite signals
Does NFL SUNDAY TICKET cover the playoffs and Super Bowl?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET itself doesn't air NFL playoff games or the Super Bowl. But, with DIRECTV's channel lineup, you’ll have access to most playoff games and the Super Bowl.
Which devices are NFL SUNDAY TICKET compatible with?
You can stream your Sunday out-of-market games at the gym, at church, or while grocery shopping. But only on one device. So no sharing your password with anyone else, unless you want to be blocked from watching Tyreek Hill or Baker Mayfield in their new uniforms with their new teams.
Just install the NFL SUNDAY TICKET app onto your computer, tablet, smartphone, or Wi-Fi-connected streaming device. These compatible devices include the following:
- iPhones, iPads
- Android phones, Android tablets
- Apple TV
- Roku, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku TV
- Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick
- Xbox One
- Google Chromecast
- Android TV
- Playstation 4 (PS4)
Is NFL SUNDAY TICKET worth it?
If watching every out-of-market football game with the push of a button is a must, then yes.
If watching your team play all 17 games of the regular season is a must, then yes.
If keeping track of your fantasy team is a must because you know this is your year, then yes.
Upgrading to the MAX subscription makes it even more worth the price for the extra channels and perks. Yeah, it’s a bummer you can only stream on one device at a time, but at least you’ll have the option to stream the games while you’re on the train.
While NFL SUNDAY TICKET isn’t exactly cheap, it’s a service for the fans who come to play. Like Tom Brady who played on a torn MCL for the entire 2020 NFL season and still managed to win the SB with a new team.
