What are other internet options besides Optimum?

Optimum is a solid choice, but it’s always a good idea to look at all the internet service providers in your area to see if you can get the best deal. In Brooklyn, Optimum shares the same coverage area with top fiber providers: Verizon Fios and Frontier. We always recommend a fiber provider over a cable provider, so if you can get fiber, you should.

Otherwise, Optimum also overlaps availability with cable providers, Spectrum and Xfinity, which rank similarly to Optimum in our in-depth reviews. Or, you could look into our favorite 5G home provider, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. T-Mobile isn’t the fastest, but it does pack a ton of value: The Rely Home Internet plan delivers up to 318Mbps download speeds for a flat $50 monthly, plus there are no extra fees.
