These freebies are all yours when you order a qualifying TV and internet bundle from Cox.

We’re crushing on the Silver Duo. It’s got a good mix of internet speed and channels, including those premium channels like HBO MAX.

Is Cox internet good?

Cox offers low-speed internet plans for some of the lowest prices we’ve seen. So if you just need 10 to 150 Mbps to stream episodes of The Bachelor, you’re covered.

And in past reviews, Cox has delivered the download speeds it promises. So if Cox is available near you, we say give it a try.

HughesNet satellite internet deals

Deals

Get $100 and free installation

Don’t worry about extra fees: HughesNet’s free installation promotion has you covered. Normally this costs $99, so that’s a pretty big chunk of savings. And now you can get a $100 prepaid card on top of that.

Get Free Installation + $100 With HughesNet

HughesNet wants to save you $99 on installation and give you $100 to boot. That means the price might be just right for you to pack up the family and start the new year fresh with a Zoom-free zone in the wilderness.

We’ll be frank, though: we recommend HughesNet only if you don’t need a lot of internet speed and data. Otherwise, its cost becomes too steep and your other satellite internet option, Viasat, is a better deal. And if you can get DSL, cable, or fiber internet, you’re much better off with those instead of satellite internet.

If you’re not sure what internet providers are available in your neck of the woods, check out our guide to rural internet options for more alternatives.

Is HughesNet satellite internet good?

When it comes to rural internet, you don’t have a lot of options. HughesNet is one good option—but only if you don’t need fast download speeds or a lot of data.

That means HughesNet likely won’t be up to par if you have a large family or deal with large files while working from home. Still, its satellite internet service is better than your old-school dial-up connection.

Optimum internet deals

Deals

Get 300 Mbps internet for $35/mo. + $200

Optimum’s hooking you up with decent 300 Mbps speeds for $35 a month, and you can get a $200 Visa rewards card on top of that.

Save $5/mo. on Optimum 300

Optimum’s discounted the price of its 300 Mbps internet plan to $35 a month. That’s an amazing price for speeds that should support a family through more working and learning from home. Plus, Optimum is chipping in a $200 Visa rewards card on top of that. We wish all internet providers treated us this well.

Is Optimum internet good?

Optimum offers some pretty fast internet speeds to its customers in the Northeast. We think its prices are a little hit or miss—some are competitive and others, well, aren’t. Of course, some of those high-priced plans come with a Price for Life guarantee, so you won’t see your bill go up in the future if you remain in good standing.

Even so, Optimum is known for delivering the speeds it promises, and it gets pretty good marks for customer service.

Suddenlink internet deals

Deals

Save $5/month on 200 Mbps internet + get $200

Suddenlink’s 200 Mbps internet is a great speed for small- to medium-sized families. And now it comes with a $5/month discount and a $200 Visa rewards card. Not bad at all.

Save on Suddenlink Internet

Suddenlink’s latest deal saves you $5 a month on its 200 Mbps internet plan for a total of $30 a month. That’s not a bad deal, and it gets even better with a $200 Visa rewards card.

Is Suddenlink internet good?

We’re fond of Suddenlink’s goal of bringing high-speed internet service to small towns across the US. And my, are those some fast download speeds.

Of course, there are still some hiccups like a price hike after the introductory period on all but its fastest plan.

Is Xfinity internet good?

If you use the internet, you’ve probably heard of Comcast Xfinity.

It’s the most available internet provider out there, serving almost all of the US. And while this cable internet giant gets a bad rap for some not-so-great customer service sometimes, we’ve found it dishes out reliably fast download speeds and competitive prices.

That’s why we named Xfinity our Best Value pick.

How to find the best internet prices

If you’ve got money on your mind and your mind on your money, here are a few tips to help you find the best internet prices in your area.

1. Compare prices in your area

Did you brush up on your game show skills? Because it’s about to feel a little like The Price is Right in here.

Sure, comparison shopping for internet can feel like a major shot in the dark, just like guessing how much that set of deluxe pots and pans plus gas range sells for. But we’ve got a few tricks you can tuck up your sleeve to make things easier, like our list of the top five cheapest internet providers overall.

And if you tell us your ZIP code, we can sift through our internet plan data to find out which ISPs offer plans in your area. That narrows things down a bit, eh?

Compare prices for internet service near you.

2. But don’t just rely on price

If you’re a heavy internet user and love to stream Disney+ in 4K or hop online for a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds match, you don’t want to just grab the cheapest plan out there.

Take a look at our download speed guide to find out how much speed you need to keep yourself connected. Then check out the five fastest ISPs and see if any of your local providers made the list. Chances are if they’re mentioned, they’ll deliver blazing fast download speeds directly to your modem.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask

If you can’t order online or don’t see one of these offers show up when you’re checking out, we still think it’s worth calling and asking the internet provider to cut you a deal.

Just make sure you’ve got all the info about the promotion you want applied. And hey, a little kindness never hurts either.
