Many ISPs are offering deals on top of lower promotional prices, so you might just save a buck or twenty by switching and hopefully get the internet speed you need to keep everyone at home happy, including you.

AT&T Internet deals

Deals

Save on AT&T Fiber internet

Save $20 a month on the AT&T Fiber 100 internet plan. Get 100 Mbps download speeds for $35 a month for your first year.

Save On AT&T Fiber 100

If you need an internet-only plan, AT&T has a great new deal on its AT&T Fiber 100 plan. You can nab 100 Mbps download speeds for just $35 a month for one year. That’s a savings of $20 each month. Not bad, not bad at all.

Plus, AT&T Fiber is one of our top choices for the best fiber ISPs.

If you prefer bundling, you can sweeten the already discounted prices AT&T gives you for combining TV with internet service. It’s offering a $300 Visa card just for bundling AT&T internet with DIRECTV. Not bad.

Is AT&T internet good?

AT&T’s fiber internet rocks our socks. Its fiber internet prices are on the low end when you look at the competition, and it delivers up to 940 Mbps download speeds.

Plus, fiber internet tends to outperform DSL and cable internet. It’s a newer technology that’s capable of delivering faster download and upload speeds.

AT&T Fiber internet pros and cons
ProsCons

CenturyLink internet deals

Deals

Get CenturyLink's Price for Life guarantee

Lock in your monthly CenturyLink price for life on internet plans from 15 to 100 Mbps.

Get CenturyLink Price for Life

If you hate it when your monthly bill goes up after a year, then the CenturyLink Price for Life guarantee might be right for you. It keeps your $49.00 monthly price the same for any of CenturyLink’s DSL internet plans up to 100 Mbps.

Of course, you have to remain a customer in good standing. But that should be easy, right?

Is CenturyLink internet good?

We’re huge fans of CenturyLink’s Price for Life guarantee. Not many internet providers offer this, and it comes paired with low prices as well.

Our biggest concern with CenturyLink DSL internet is that you can’t quite tell what download speeds you’ll get right away. Depending on where you live, your speed could range from 15 to 100 Mbps. The monthly price is a hot deal for 100 Mbps speeds—but not so great if you can land only 15 Mbps.

One other potential downside is that the CenturyLink the Fiber Internet plan doesn’t come with Price for Life. But those fiber internet speeds come at one of the lowest prices we’ve seen for gig speeds, so that definitely makes up for something.

CenturyLink internet pros and cons
ProsCons

The Cox internet freebies pile up: get free installation, a free TV receiver, and HBO MAX, Cinemax, STARZ, and SHOWTIME with select TV + internet bundles.

Get Free Installation and Premium Channels With Cox Bundles

Who doesn’t love freebies? We sure have a place in our hearts for them, and Cox’s free installation and free TV receiver combo is flipping us head over heels. And those HBO MAX, Cinemax, STARZ, and SHOWTIME premium channels are like icing on the freebie cake.

These freebies are all yours when you order a qualifying TV and internet bundle from Cox.

We’re crushing on the Silver Duo. It’s got a good mix of internet speed and channels, including those premium channels like HBO MAX.

Is Cox internet good?

Cox offers low-speed internet plans for some of the lowest prices we’ve seen. So if you just need 10 to 150 Mbps to stream episodes of The Bachelor, you’re covered.

And in past reviews, Cox has delivered the download speeds it promises. So if Cox is available near you, we say give it a try.

HughesNet satellite internet deals

Deals

Free satellite installation is all yours with HughesNet

Don’t worry about extra fees: HughesNet’s free installation promotion has you covered. Normally this costs $99, so that’s a pretty big chunk of savings.

Get Free Installation With HughesNet Satellite Internet

It’s 2021 and HughesNet’s still offering a free installation deal. That means the price might be just right for you to pack up the family and start the new year fresh with a Zoom-free zone in the wilderness.

We’ll be frank, though: we recommend HughesNet only if you don’t need a lot of internet speed and data. Otherwise, its cost becomes too steep and your other satellite internet option, Viasat, is a better deal. And if you can get DSL, cable, or fiber internet, you’re much better off with those instead of satellite internet.

Is HughesNet satellite internet good?

When it comes to rural internet, you don’t have a lot of options. HughesNet is one good option—but only if you don’t need fast download speeds or a lot of data.

That means HughesNet likely won’t be up to par if you have a large family or deal with large files while working from home. Still, its satellite internet service is better than your old-school dial-up connection.

Spectrum internet deals

Deals

Spectrum helps you swap internet providers

If you’re not already a Spectrum customer, you can save up to $500 for switching with its contract buyout program.*

Swap to Spectrum & Get Up to $500*

Does your current ISP have a Darth Vader–ish grip on your wallet with a whopping triple-digit early termination fee? Spectrum’s contract buyout program can be your Luke Skywalker and save the day.

Spectrum will cover your early termination fees up to $500*, so your break-up doesn’t have to break your piggy bank too.

Is Spectrum internet good?

After unlimited data and no contracts on your internet plan? Then Spectrum is worth a look.

But the high price on its gigabit internet plan and confusing fees made us raise an eyebrow. So, just like most other internet providers, you win some and you lose some with Spectrum.

Still, its 100 Mbps** plan is well-priced and comes with enough perks to make it a diamond in the rough.

Windstream doesn’t play around when it comes to saving you money. If you order its Kinetic Internet online, you’ll get an instant $100 credit.

No fuss, no waiting, no checking the mailbox. The credit shows up as a reduced monthly cost for one year.

Just keep in mind that Windstream’s prices depend on where in the US you live. You’ll need to enter your address to see which plans are available near you and what they’ll cost.

Is Windstream internet good?

Color us surprised when we saw Windstream out in rural Northern Georgia. This ISP doesn’t skirt around rural areas like some do, which is great because its DSL internet speeds are faster (and cheaper) than satellite internet.

Also, Windstream won’t make you pinky swear to remain a customer for x amount of time. And it pairs its no-contracts policy with unlimited data. Those are two big wins for anyone.

We’re big fans of WOW!’s approach to internet: unlimited data and low prices. It also offers plans with no two-year contract—but they’ll cost you about $25 more per month.

WOW! Also seems keen on offering bonuses, like a chance to rent an Eero mesh Wi-Fi system. That’s pretty awesome if you’ve wanted to try a mesh Wi-Fi system but don’t have the money to put toward it. (They typically cost around $200 or so.)

Is Xfinity internet good?

If you use the internet, you’ve probably heard of Comcast Xfinity.

It’s the most available internet provider out there, serving almost all of the US. And while this cable internet giant gets a bad rap for some not-so-great customer service sometimes, we’ve found it dishes out reliably fast download speeds and competitive prices.

That’s why we named Xfinity our Best Value pick.

How to find the best internet prices

If you’ve got money on your mind and your mind on your money, here are a few tips to help you find the best internet prices in your area.

1. Compare prices in your area

Did you brush up on your game show skills? Because it’s about to feel a little like The Price is Right in here.

Sure, comparison shopping for internet can feel like a major shot in the dark, just like guessing how much that set of deluxe pots and pans plus gas range sells for. But we’ve got a few tricks you can tuck up your sleeve to make things easier, like our list of the top five cheapest internet providers overall.

And if you tell us your ZIP code, we can sift through our internet plan data to find out which ISPs offer plans in your area. That narrows things down a bit, eh?

Compare prices for internet service near you.

2. But don’t just rely on price

If you’re a heavy internet user and love to stream Disney+ in 4K or hop online for a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds match, you don’t want to just grab the cheapest plan out there.

Take a look at our download speed guide to find out how much speed you need to keep yourself connected. Then check out the five fastest ISPs and see if any of your local providers made the list. Chances are if they’re mentioned, they’ll deliver blazing fast download speeds directly to your modem.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask

If you can’t order online or don’t see one of these offers show up when you’re checking out, we still think it’s worth calling and asking the internet provider to cut you a deal.

Just make sure you’ve got all the info about the promotion you want applied. And hey, a little kindness never hurts either.

*To qualify for the contract buyout program, a customer must order and install a qualifying Triple Play or limited Double Play promotion; offers not available in all areas. Offer available to qualifying customers only who have no outstanding obligations to Charter. Check amount will be determined by the early termination fee on the final bill from the previous provider, not to exceed $500. For contract buyout qualifications, go to Spectrum.com/buyout.
**Wireless speeds may vary.
