How to get it

Here’s how AT&T is breaking down the steps to land this offer:

  • You’ll get a $100 Visa card for ordering a qualifying AT&T TV package online.
  • You’ll get another $100 Visa card for ordering AT&T internet online.
  • You get a third $100 Visa reward card for bundling those internet and AT&T TV orders.

Don’t forget that it’ll take some time for your Visa rewards card to arrive on your doorstep—and that it may take even longer due to the coronavirus pandemic safety precautions. But patience pays off triple in this case.

Is AT&T Internet good?

With the Up to 100 Mbps plan, AT&T delivers the fastest possible download speeds to your home—up to 100 Mbps, of course. And if you can land those 100 Mbps speeds, the monthly price is a great deal.

We go into more detail about AT&T’s internet reliability, data caps, and contracts in our AT&T internet review.

CenturyLink: Lock in your price for life

CenturyLink is known for its Price for Life guarantee, and with so much uncertainty lately, we couldn’t not feature this way to keep your internet bill locked in at one price.

The only downside is that CenturyLink offers Price for Life on its DSL plans only. Sorry, fiber internet lovers.

How to get it

To pay the same price for internet for life, you’ll need to sign up for one of CenturyLink’s Price for Life internet plans.

After that, all you have to do is keep the same plan and not make any changes to it. Oh, and pay your bills on time. You know, typical good customer type stuff.

Sadly, this does mean you can’t change your service address. But if you do end up moving to a new area with CenturyLink, there’s likely to be another price for life deal waiting for you.

Is CenturyLink internet good?

CenturyLink brings a lot of value to the table when you look at the prices for its higher-speed internet plans. However, if you just need 20 Mbps download speeds to get your computer online, you’ll probably find a better deal elsewhere.

Even so, CenturyLink is one of the few internet providers that offers a Price for Life guarantee—plus it has fiber internet in some locations. (Although its fiber internet plan doesn’t come with a Price for Life.)

Spectrum: Contract buyout for up to $500 or free security software

Ready to say goodbye to your old internet provider? We’ve all been there. Of course, the impending doom of early termination fees (ETFs) might keep you from cutting ties for good.

But Spectrum’s here to save the day with its contract buyout offer up to $500 if you sign up for one of its bundles. (Quick note: We rarely see ETFs above $400, so this offer is definitely worth considering if you’re so done with your ISP.)

And if a bundle isn’t up your alley, you can still land free security software for up to 10 computers if you order the 100 Mbps Spectrum internet plan.

The Spectrum Security Suite protects your computers from all the icky things lurking around the internet: viruses, spyware, Trojans, and more. You can learn more about it at Spectrum’s Security Suite support page.

How to get it

The only catch with Spectrum’s contract buyout is that you’ll need to sign up for a qualifying triple play or double play bundle. Spectrum doesn’t spell out which of its bundles qualify, so we recommend asking a customer service rep which bundles are eligible for the contract buyout.

You’ll also need to give Spectrum a copy of your final bill that lists your early termination fee and fill out a Spectrum Contract Buyout Form.

If you’re after the free security software, it should be automatically included with your Spectrum Internet plan.

You’ve likely heard Spectrum mentioned in the news, and likely not in a good way. But despite the bad rap, this ISP offers up reasonable prices that don’t come with contracts or data caps.

Suddenlink: $100 Amazon gift card when you bundle

We always say bundling can be a good way to save some cash on your monthly bills, and this month, Suddenlink upped the ante with its deal on the Value TV + Internet 1 Gig bundle.

If you order this bundle, you’ll get a $100 Amazon gift card plus all the usual bundle perks: 1,000 Mbps download speeds and 220+ channels. We like what we’re hearing.

But also, you won’t be eligible to get this $100 Amazon gift card until 12 months have passed. Gotta pace yourself, y’know? (No, we don’t, but them’s the rules.)

You’ll also need to pay your bills on time and keep your service for at least 90 days to get your hands on this gift card. And just a heads up: you might be waiting for another four to six weeks for Suddenlink to deliver that Amazon card. But be patient, friend. Good things come to those who wait.

Is Suddenlink internet good?

We’re fond of Suddenlink’s goal of bringing high-speed internet service to small towns across the US. And my, are those some fast download speeds. Of course, there are still some hiccups like a price hike after the introductory period on all but their fastest plan.

Dig into the details of Suddenlink’s prices, performance, and more in our full Suddenlink internet review.

Windstream: $100 credit when you order Kinetic Internet

Windstream’s offering a $100 credit if you order one of its Kinetic Internet plans.

That’s almost a steal considering none of its Kinetic plans will cost you more than $100 a month. So, depending on which download speed you pick, this deal is almost like two free months of internet service. (But really the credit will show up as a reduced monthly cost for one year.)

Just keep in mind that Windstream’s prices depend on where in the US you live. You’ll need to enter your address to see which plans are available near you and what they’ll cost.

That said, this internet deal may not be available in your area (we saw it in Florida), but since you have to enter your address to view Windstream plans near you, there shouldn’t be any surprises. You’ll also need to be a new customer—meaning you haven’t signed up for Windstream internet within the past 30 days.

We’ll help you weigh those pros and cons in our Windstream internet review.

How to find the best internet prices

If you’ve got money on your mind and your mind on your money, here are a few tips to help you find the best internet prices in your area.

1. Compare prices in your area

Did you brush up on your game show skills? Because it’s about to feel a little like The Price is Right in here.

Sure, comparison shopping for internet can feel like a major shot in the dark, just like guessing how much that set of deluxe pots and pans plus gas range sells for. But we’ve got a few tricks you can tuck up your sleeve to make things easier, like our list of the top five cheapest internet providers overall.

And if you tell us your ZIP code, we can sift through our internet plan data to find out which ISPs offer plans in your area. That narrows things down a bit, eh?

Compare prices for internet service near you.

2. But don’t just rely on price

If you’re a heavy internet user and love to stream Disney+ in 4K or hop online for a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds match, you don’t want to just grab the cheapest plan out there.

Take a look at our download speed guide to find out how much speed you need to keep yourself connected. Then check out the five fastest ISPs and see if any of your local providers made the list. Chances are if they’re mentioned, they’ll deliver blazing fast download speeds directly to your modem.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask

If you can’t order online or don’t see one of these offers show up when you’re checking out, we still think it’s worth calling and asking the internet provider to cut you a deal.

Just make sure you’ve got all the info about the promotion you want applied. And hey, a little kindness never hurts either.
