How to find the best internet prices

If you’ve got money on your mind and your mind on your money, here are a few tips to help you find the best internet prices in your area.

1. Compare prices in your area

Did you brush up on your game show skills? Because it’s about to feel a little like The Price is Right in here.

Sure, comparison shopping for internet can feel like a major shot in the dark, just like guessing how much that set of deluxe pots and pans plus gas range sells for. But we’ve got a few tricks you can tuck up your sleeve to make things easier, like our list of the top five cheapest internet providers overall.

And if you tell us your zip code , we can sift through our internet plan data to find out which ISPs offer plans in your area. That narrows things down a bit, eh?

Anyway, you might be able to find a better internet connection with a faster speed.

2. But don’t just rely on price

If you’re a heavy internet user and love to stream Disney+ in 4K or hop online for a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds match, you don’t want to just grab the cheapest plan out there.

Take a look at our download speed guide to find out how much speed you need to keep yourself connected. Then check out the five fastest ISPs and see if any of your local providers made the list. Chances are if they’re mentioned, they’ll deliver blazing-fast  download speeds directly to your modem.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask

If you can’t order online or don’t see one of these offers show up when you’re checking out, we still think it’s worth calling and asking the internet provider to cut you a deal.

Just make sure you’ve got all the info about the promotion you want applied. And hey, a little kindness never hurts either.
