The best year-round deal I’ve seen for T-Mobile 5G Home Internet is the $20 monthly discount when you bundle internet with a postpaid phone plan. All plans also come with a 15-day Test Drive guarantee, so you can cancel in your first two weeks of service and get your money back. T-Mobile also has a “Break Free” offer where you get up to $750 to pay off any early termination fees incurred by canceling and switching internet providers. Plus, all T-Mobile Internet plans include a five-year price guarantee.

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet costs $50 to $70 per month for up to 498Mbps download speeds, free equipment, and quick self-installation. It ranks as one of the best internet providers overall because it’s widely available, has good customer reviews, and doesn’t nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Our take: AT&T’s internet deals often include steep discounts when you bundle unlimited wireless service with new fiber or 5G home internet. But you don’t have to bundle to take advantage—AT&T also offers standalone perks like contract buyouts, autopay discounts, coupon codes, and reward cards.

AT&T Fiber plans start at $34 per month for 100Mbps, which is a great offer in itself because you get symmetrical speeds and unlimited data. Since most people have more than 16 hours a day of screen time and internet usage, you ought to get an unlimited plan so you can stay connected all day long. Our take: Bundling is the way to go with Spectrum. Spectrum bundle deals offer hefty monthly discounts and a two- to three-year price guarantee when you sign up for TV, internet, and mobile together. Our take: Most Comcast Xfinity internet offers are only for new customers, but existing customers can still save with discounted streaming services. For new customers, there are more perks such as mobile, TV, and internet bundling discounts, free monthly gateway lease, and military or student discounts. Xfinity doesn’t have specific credit card reward bonuses, so make sure you set up paperless billing and autopay via ACH to take advantage of the $10 monthly discount.

Xfinity plans start at $40 per month for 300Mbps and get great customer reviews. Xfinity also offers its Internet Essentials plans for $14.95 to $29.95 per month for qualifying low-income households for up to 75Mbps or 100Mbps, respectively, but Xfinity's internet speeds can go all the way up to 2,000Mbps.  Xfinity is available in 39 states and ranks as one of the best internet providers because of its competitive prices and top entertainment deals. “Xfinity had many plans available, which made it possible to find one to fit our budget,” says Xfinity customer Derek Marsden. Our take: Verizon is like the fun aunt who always brings you tons of gifts, even when it’s not a special occasion. Verizon internet deals regularly include perks for any new 5G Home Internet or Fios Internet customers, like gift cards, gaming bundles, or streaming services. There is also a $15 to $25 monthly discount when you combine a wireless line and enroll in the Mobile + Home bundle.

Verizon 5G Home Internet costs $50 to $75 for 300Mbps to 1,000Mbps download speed, and Verizon Fios costs $49.99 to $109.99 per month for 300Mbps to 2,300Mbps. Although it’s not the cheapest, we always recommend getting fiber internet above other internet types. Fiber-to-the-home connections get fast symmetrical speeds, low latency, and usually simpler pricing that includes equipment rental and installation. Among the providers mentioned above, AT&T Fiber and Verizon Fios definitely get you excellent reliability. You can also grab sweet promotional deals from these providers, like gift cards or mobile and internet bundle discounts.

Purely looking at price, Xfinity is one of the cheapest internet providers available on the market. For as low as $35 per month, you can get 150Mbps download speeds. You can also score discounts when you bundle your internet with a mobile plan. Spectrum also offers great bundle deals, but they’re pricier since they get much higher speeds (500Mbps or 1Gbps).

If we’re also looking at the quality of connection, cable providers are more reliable than even the best 5G internet providers, like T-Mobile and Verizon 5G Home Internet. So even though 5G providers might offer some enticing deals and low prices, it’s worth choosing a wired provider over a wireless one.

If none of these best providers are available where you live, aim to sign up with a fiber or cable internet provider that gives you speeds of 300Mbps or faster for a price that fits your budget. Home internet costs about $81 a month on average, but you can get decent Wi-Fi for less in many parts of the country. In a rural area, try a fixed wireless or satellite internet provider.
