Vodafone 5G: Coverage map, mobile and internet plans
Everything you need to know about the Vodafone 5G rollout, compatible 5G phones and 5G plans.
Australia’s three biggest telcos, which are also the providers of Australia’s three mobile networks, are taking each other on in a 5G mobile network showdown. Telstra has the biggest 5G network.
Optus has unlimited-data plans for 5G home broadband . And Vodafone offers 5G across all its mobile plans.
That’s great news if you’re in an area with Vodafone 5G signal, but the current plan is for the Vodafone 5G network to be the smallest of the three in Australia. Similarly, while Telstra and Optus both offer 5G home broadband and Telstra offers 5G mobile internet, Vodafone’s 5G efforts are focused exclusively on 5G mobile plans.
What you need to access Vodafone 5G

Vodafone 5G coverage map
Activate the map below to check Vodafone 5G availability by location (use the drop-down menu to switch to Optus or Telstra 5G). It’s worth reiterating that Vodafone’s plans are for the smallest 5G network compared to Optus and Telstra, with the Vodafone 5G network focused predominantly on these areas:
- Gold Coast
- Central Coast
Vodafone’s 5G plan is to roll out to 1,200+ sites that will eventually cover 85% of the Australian population in our six biggest cities (the top six in the list above) by the end of 2021. You can track the progress of the rollout on this Vodafone 5G support page.
Vodafone 5G home broadband
At the time of writing, Vodafone wasn’t offering any 5G home broadband plans. For 5G home broadband, your best bet is either Optus or Telstra. Not in an area that supports 5G? Check out the
