The iPhone 15 family is coming in hot. If you're looking to get the iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus on a plan through Telstra, Optus or Vodafone, you'll be able to do so at 10pm AEST on Friday the 15th of September.

Whether you're after a 36-month plan or a 24-month plan, you'll find the cheapest deals on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus here as soon as the plans become available.

This year, the standard iPhone 15 and larger iPhone 15 Plus have a lot going for them. For starters, they both have last year's premium Dynamic Island and A16 Bionic chip. Apple has given punters a few reasons to opt for the iPhone 15 Pro over the iPhone 15 this year, but for the most part, iPhone 15 (and iPhone 15 Plus) users are getting a much better deal than they did last year with the 14 and 14 Plus.

Cheapest iPhone 15 plans

The cheapest deals on the cheapest iPhone 15 from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.

As is the case with most phone plans these days, the Telstra, Optus and Vodafone don't offer ongoing handset discounts for the iPhone 15. That's why Vodafone's Small Plan (40GB, unlimited calls and text) is the cheapest iPhone 15 plan, whether you go for a 36 or 24-month plan.

The iPhone 15 Plus is the smartphone for people who want all 6.7-inches of that Super Retina XDR display but don't want to pay top-dollar for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Plus shares almost identical technical specs with the standard iPhone 15, so you don't need to worry about missing out on anything if you save with the iPhone 15's smaller screen.

Apple's entry-level iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have suffered some minor inflation this year. The iPhone 15 starts at $100 more than the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 15 Plus starts at $70 more than the iPhone 14 Plus. To be fair, they're packing way more heat than last year's baseline models, so the slight price bump may be worth it to those who held out.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus share almost identical technical specs, if not for their different display sizes (6.1-inch vs 6.7-inch.) Last year's iPhone 14 Plus curiously released later than the rest of the iPhone 14 family, so it will be interesting to see how the 15 Plus sells when punters get the choice for a bigger, budget display at launch.
