Every morning, I dream to catch up on my YouTube TV DVR recordings.

Then I remember I’m a corporate adult who’s expected to attend Zoom meetings and respond to emails for eight hours a day.

I tried out a subscription to YouTube TV, and I’m here to tell you what three features really (like, really) stood out. And which feature is just a fancy piece of garbage. #SorryNotSorry

1. Unlimited DVR (Literally unlimited)

Two words, guys. Unlimited. DVR.

If you’re someone who likes keeping up with the news, latest sports games, and live episodes of your favorite shows, you can have it all at a click of a button. You can record unlimited simultaneous live programs without storage space limits—pause, rewind, and fast-forward through ads on your recorded content too!

Unlike other live TV services, this one is included in the package and there’s no catch about it being unlimited, so you can record to your heart’s content.

2. 4-screen multi-view (Sports fans, this one’s mostly for you)

Instead of flipping back and forth between channels, you can customize exactly what you want to watch at the same time. The local news? A sports game? Your favorite episode of Law and Order?

There’s no such thing as too many screens in 2026.

We’re all living the same chaotic life, okay. YouTube TV is just here for it.

3. Key plays (Spoiler alert? Not!)

Sports fans, I lowkey think this YouTube TV feature is the single reason you should get YouTube TV. They’ve got tons of sports channels, sports add-ons, and sports features.

If you tune into a game late, YouTube TV will ask if you want to “Start from Beginning” or “Catch up with Key Plays.” Key Plays uses AI to show you every big moment you missed.

And the feature that’s garbage?

The “4K Plus” add-on. It basically enhances your base plan with higher-resolution streaming (plus it packs in unlimited home streams and offline viewing for those who are in an intensely committed relationship with YouTube TV).

But …

This 4K feature isn’t actually available on every channel. You’ll be paying an extra $10 for the possibility of watching certain events in a higher resolution. But not all of them?

Skip.

Don’t drain your wallet.

There’s actually a lot more to YouTube TV. If you’re in the mood to read about my firsthand experience, you should check out my YouTube TV Review.

Life is indeed a highway,
