Switch to Starlink and get 5x the speed for the same monthly price—no contracts

Why pay $120+ for Hughesnet Fusion when you can get 4x the speed for the same price—or less?

  • Hughesnet: $95/mo. for 100 Mbps (with strict data caps).

  • Starlink: $55–$130/mo. for up to 400 Mbps (with unlimited data).

Starlink's hardware pays for itself in less than 2 years by eliminating Hughesnet's $15/month rental fees and data overage costs.

After the first year of Lite or the first two years of Select, Elite, and Fusion, monthly rates go up by $10 to $25. Which Hughesnet internet speed is right for you?

Recommended speed

Hughesnet’s internet plans get 25Mbps to 100Mbps download speeds. This is enough speed for streaming and browsing the web. However, satellite internet plans get high latency, so online gaming and video conference calls can lag.

Since 50Mbps is enough for basic internet use, we recommend getting Hughesnet’s Elite or Fusion plans with 100Mbps download speeds and 200GB priority data to support several users using the internet at the same time.

Hughesnet internet plans cost from $39.99 to $94.99 monthly for the first 12 months or 24 months of service.

All Hughesnet internet plans come with unlimited data, but each plan comes with a priority data cap that is either 100 or 200GB. After you pass your data cap, you experience slower speeds.

Yes, Hughesnet is fast enough to stream shows on Netflix. Netflix recommends getting at least 3Mbps download speed for high-definition viewing quality.
