All T-Mobile Fiber (formerly Metronet) Internet plans and prices
Metronet offers four fiber internet plans ranging from 150Mbps to 2Gbps symmetrical speeds. You can even find up to 5Gbps speeds in select locations. Starting as low as $29.95 per month, Metronet’s internet plans are incredibly affordable as far as fiber internet goes. Not many fiber providers offer such a wide variety of speeds or low starting prices. You can shrink the monthly price even further with autopay, which gives you a $25 one-time credit. And if you opt for paperless billing, you can cut a $4.95 monthly fee as well.
Metronet doesn’t impose overage fees or early termination fees. However, expect price hikes every 12 months for the first three years of service. The big positive is that Metronet is upfront about its price hikes when you sign up online, showing you exactly how much you’ll pay year after year.

Recommended speed
While Metronet’s cheapest plan for $29.95 per month for up to 150Mbps speed is enough for a couple of people to do general internet activities such as streaming and taking video calls, we highly recommend Metronet’s 500Mbps plan for $39.95 per month for 12 months. This plan is great for moderate to intense online activity while using several apps and devices simultaneously.
Here’s how to get the best Metronet Internet deals
While Metronet has some fantastically affordable fiber internet monthly prices, it does tack on a few extra fees. So don’t take its prices at face value. Consider extra Metronet fees such as its taxes, installation fee, and a monthly Tech Assure fee.
Most internet reps (Metronet included) try to convince you that you need the biggest and fastest package to use the internet. The fact is that the average household can work with 100–500Mbps of speed. Sure, if you host YouTube livestreams or download huge and hefty data files, you might consider going higher. But you also need to make sure your devices can actually handle such big speeds. Either way, we recommend Metronet’s 500Mbps plan to get started.
While fiber is the best kind of internet you can get (and Metronet is a great fiber service provider), it’s good to be aware of what else might be out there. We compile all the best home internet deals on our Best Internet Deals page every month. It doesn’t hurt to check it out!
