For an affordable bargain on home internet, CenturyLink has a few perks. All of CenturyLink’s internet plans (both DSL and fiber) come with no contracts, no early termination fees, and paperless billing discounts. Customers who sign up for either of its fiber internet packages get a free premium modem lease and free professional installation. That’s an extra $129 that goes right into your pocket instead of to CenturyLink.

CenturyLink internet customers can also participate in the Refer & Earn Program. When you refer CenturyLink services to friends, you can both get up to $100 (and you can do this five times a year). On top of that, CenturyLink pledges to donate an extra $10 to your choice of charity from its list of charities.

CenturyLink Internet offers its fiber and DSL internet services to 12.2 million people in 16 states. Check your zip code below to see local plans and prices.

Which CenturyLink Internet speed is right for you?

Recommended speed

CenturyLink offers a range of high-speed internet options from 140Mbps to 940Mbps. We recommend CenturyLink fiber over its DSL option if you can get it.

While 100Mbps is a solid internet speed for most households (and the DSL option includes download speeds up to 140Mbps), we recommend the 500Mbps fiber plan for $50 per month. This plan supports multiple devices, streaming, gaming, and working from home.

Here’s how to get the best CenturyLink Internet deals

1
Ask to waive the installation fee.

For CenturyLink’s DSL plan, you have to pay up to $149 for installation. You can always ask to waive this fee when activating services. The worst thing you’ll hear is a no.

2
Refer a friend.

You both get money. If CenturyLink is a popular provider in your area, talk to your neighbors, share on a local Facebook group, or mention it to your coworkers. It could be as easy as that.

3
Chat with customer service.

Start a conversation with a CenturyLink rep, either with an online rep or by calling +1-833-483-2258, and ask about any new CenturyLink promotional discounts (promos can change month to month).

Frequently asked questions about CenturyLink Internet deals

Yes. CenturyLink offers high-speed DSL and fiber options with download speeds up to 940Mbps. Fortunately, you never pay more than $75 for any of its plans. Plus, even DSL customers report satisfaction with their speeds.

No. However, seniors may qualify for a discount on CenturyLink internet service through Lifeline, as there are a few different ways to qualify for a lower monthly bill. See if you qualify through our CenturyLink low-income internet guide.

CenturyLink fiber is very fast and reliable. Fiber provides a much faster and reliable connection than DSL. We recommend the CenturyLink Fiber 500Mbps plan, as this provides above-average speeds for many types of tasks.
