Tineco’s Floor One S7 Steam mop is the best hard floor cleaner we’ve tested, and it is down to $999 until January 29.
In our testing the S7 Steam removed close to a decade’s worth of grime from an old linoleum floor using Boost Steam - its most powerful steam mode. Even in Auto the Tineco made light work of caked on debris on wooden, lino, and tile floors, and when the cleaning is done it cleans and dries itself back on the dock. The only issue to be wary of is the weight. With the 720ml water tank full, the entire set up weighs over 5kg, which can build up momentum when you’re cleaning on slick, wet floors. Safe to say that you’ll want to have a tight grip on it.
The Tineco Floor One S7 usually retails for $1,119 but is down to $999 from JB HiFi and Harvey Norman until January 29.
If $1000 is still too dear, there are other discounted Tineco devices that are worth considering. Although none including steam mopping, they are all wet and dry vacuums that combine vacuuming and mopping in the one device.
The cheapest option is the iFloor 5, down from $599 to $399. This is also the most basic electric mop, which vacuums which using tepid water to mop the floor. It has a centrifugal drying system back on the dock though, so you don’t have to clean or dry it yourself.
Next is the Floor One S5 Extreme, which is discounted from $699 to $449. The device uses the same iLoop Auto mode technology as the S7 Steam, and includes self-cleaning at its dock, along with a pet hair strainer to make it easier to remove furballs.
Both the Floor One S6 FlashyDry and the S6 Pro Extreme are also discounted from $899, down to $699. The Flash Dry includes hot water cleaning and hot air drying at up to 70°C, and has an improved design to allow for closer cleaning to walls and baseboards. While the S6 Pro Extreme includes a cleaning solution for a deeper clean.
All sales end January 29.
