Tineco has just come out with the A30S Stick Vacuum Cleaner, and its specs tick all of our testing boxes. When it comes to reviewing stick vacuums we consider a lot; dustbin capacity, battery life, filtering, ergonomics, and that is before we start the practical testing. The A30S scores in the upper echelon for almost all of our spec-based reviewing criteria. On paper, it looks like a winner.

The vacuum has a 1L dustbin capacity, which is significantly larger than most stick vacuums. Within that dustbin it also has 5-stage filtration including a HEPA filter rated to 99.7% capture of PM2.5 particles, making it a solid choice for those with allergies and dust sensitivities. It also comes with 160W suction power, which is more powerful than Dyson’s V12 Detect Slim which boasts 150AW. Coupled with this, the A30S uses Tineco’s iLoop Smart Sensor technology that automatically adjusts suction based on the dust and debris it encounters. We’ve previously tested this when we reviewed the Tineco Floor One S7 Steam and found that it was a bit slow to change settings, but the cleaning performance didn’t suffer.

It claims to have a 60 minute run time on a full battery, and even has a removable battery pack. Right now spare batteries aren’t available for purchase in Australia, however it looks like they could cost between $120 - $140 according to the pricing on the US site.

From a design perspective, the A30S has a more ergonomic design than we have seen in other devices - although you can’t adjust the height. It does however have a dual-handle design that makes it easier to use both on the floor and to reach higher places, and is quite light at just 3.17kg total weight.

Of course, specs aren’t everything. How the device holds up to practical testing is yet to be seen, but it is off to a solid start. The Tineco A30S is available now, from Amazon for just $319.
