In an interview with Reviews.org Australia, hair styling giant Cloud Nine revealed the "New" line of straighteners will hit our shores in 2025.

Cloud Nine Group Education Manager Marie Nieuwoudt told Reviews,

"Cloud Nine is breaking the cycle of damage and despair through innovation that’s created the perfect trifactor of technologies. Updates to our core range were made in the UK this year and are coming to Australia in 2025. These updates mean that CLOUD NINE’s Revive Mode, Spring Flex Plates, and Variable Temperature Control will be standard across our Core Range."

The Core Range includes the Original Iron, Wide Iron, and Slim Iron, which will all have the word "New" slid in after their release. The biggest changes between these irons and the current range is Revive Mode. This technology softly vibrates the plates allowing for less friction and reduced heat contact on the hair.

While Cloud Nine has not confirmed local pricing, the "New" irons look like they may be more expensive than the current range. Original, Wide, and Slim irons retail for £229, £239, £169 in the UK, respectively, which translates to $425, $431, and $333 AUD with current exchange rates. If these comparisons ring true, it could mean price increases of between $34 - $82 across the range. We asked Cloud Nine for further comment on pricing but didn't hear back in time for publication.

These upgraded models focus on Cloud Nine's core values around heat awareness and encouraging users to support their hair health through every stage of life.

"Choosing the right temperature has grown beyond just a trend," Nieuwoudt said, "Professional hair stylists and consumers are increasingly aware of the long-term effects of heat styling, hair fatigue and poor condition that can be caused by styling at the incorrect temperature for their unique hair type."

"Our range meets the needs of consumers and professional hairdressing stylists who are looking for ways to improve hair health."
