The duo behind Game of Thrones are also attached to a new historical drama called Death By Lighting. Despite the talent involved in the project (and its impending premiere later this year), the series has slipped under the radar for most people.

In Australia, Death by Lightning will be available to stream exclusively through Netflix. Although the series doesn't yet have a trailer, the involvement of ex-Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss more-or-less automatically makes it one the bigger bets on Netflix's slate of upcoming series.

Death By Lightning is based on the non-fiction novel Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard. Both the original source material and Netflix's upcoming adaptation of it depict the bizarre circumstances surrounding the death of United States president James Garfield in 1881.
