As is tradition, the arrival of the new iPhone 17 also means the departure of a few older models and some overdue price-cuts.

This time around, the iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 14 have been discontinued. As of this morning, all three are no longer available through the Apple website. It’s possible you might be able to find some stray or refurbished stock if you look around though.

As for price cuts, the short version is that those who'd prefer a cheaper iPhone to a newer one and those who are mourning the lack of an iPhone 17 Plus will be delighted to see that last year's iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are now cheaper.

The iPhone 16 is now $150 cheaper while the asking price of the iPhone 16 Plus went down by $200. If that’s a little confusing to get your head around, a full breakdown of the latest lot of iPhone discounts is as follows:

iPhone Model
Storage Capacity
New Price
Price cut
Old Price
iPhone 16128GB$1,249$150$1,399
iPhone 16 Plus128GB$1,399$200$1,599
iPhone 16 Plus256GB$1,599$200$1,799

While Apple is already selling the above models at the new prices, it likely won't be long before retail and telco partners get on the save wavelength. Once that happens, you can find the best and cheapest plans for the discounted devices using the widgets below.
