Disney Plus: New in February 2025

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man
- Release: Finale airs Wednesday, the 19th of February
- Genre: Animated
- Episodes: 10 new episodes
One of the biggest surprises of the year has been an all-new animated Spider-Man TV series with an animation style inspired by the Spider-verse movies. A close alternate reality to that of Tom Holland's Spider-Man, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man immediately breaks from tradition by having Parker bitten by an interdimensional spider transported through a portal during a fight between Dr. Strange and Venom at Midtown High School. After a small nod to Civil War's Spider-Man (a recreation of his MCU introduction,) this Peter is taken on a very different path; instead of auditioning for the Avengers, he becomes an intern at Oscorp.
It doesn't reach the same dizzying heights as the Miles Morales-led films, but it takes a good swing at it and is entertaining enough to fill the void while we wait for Beyond the Spider-Verse
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is available to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, Binge, Foxtel Now and Stan.
Netflix Australia: New in February 2025

MaXXXine
- Netflix release: 2 February 2025
- Genre: Slasher horror
- Runtime: 1h 44m
While MaXXXine is technically the third movie in Ti West's X trilogy, it's actually the direct sequel to the first movie X, whereas the second film Pearl was a prequel.
MaXXXine follows the titular heroine of the first film X, six years after surviving the worst bed and breakfast in history (I hope she left a bad review.) After escaping to Hollywood in 1985, Maxine Minx has made a name for herself in the adult entertainment industry but is looking for a sea change to mainstream movies. An opportunity presents itself when Maxine lands a lead role in a new horror movie.
Just when her career takes a turn, the infamous real-life serial killer Richard Ramirez is making a name for himself as the Night Stalker, while Maxine finds herself stalked by a mysterious figure bearing video evidence of the events of the first movie.
- X is currently streaming on Stan
- Pearl is currently streaming on Paramount Plus

Binge: New in February 2025

The White Lotus Season 3
- Season release date: Premieres Monday, the 17th of February
- Genre: Mystery/drama
- Episodes: Eight new episodes (weekly)
A tale of rich people doing terrible things feels oddly relevant these days, but at The White Lotus, they actually face consequences. Or at least one of them will.
Season three follows a new group of tourists to the luxury resort’s Thailand location, but the beauty of the resort only masks the darkness of those within it. Set against a backdrop of hedonistic frivolity, the new season follows the lives and exploits of wealthy travellers and not-so-wealthy employees as they comingle on the exclusive island resort.
This season’s stacked cast includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, and Sarah Catherine Hook. They might have visited The White Lotus to unwind, but if the past seasons are anything to go by they’ll only get more tangled. - Anula Wiwatowksa
Amazon Prime Video: New in February 2025

Invincible Season 3
- Prime Video release: 6 February 2025
- Genre: Animated action-comedy (extremely violent)
- Episodes: Eight new episodes (weekly)
INVINCIBLE is back and thank heavens we didn't have to wait as long this time around because Season 2 left us with almost as many questions as the first season's gripping finale. Without spoiling too much for those who aren't up to date, the Season Three trailer above teases an expanded role for Mark Grayson's rapidly-growing younger brother, Oliver, the return of DA Sinclair and his cyborgs, and a brand-new suit.
The first three episodes of Invincible Season 3 all drop on Thursday, the 6th of February with the remaining episodes released weekly.
- Need to catch up? Invincible Seasons 1 and 2, and the standalone special Atom Eve, are all streaming on Prime Video.
Stan: New in February 2025

Despicable Me
- Stan release: 1 February
- Genre: Family movie
- Runtime: 1h 44m
I don't know about you but, as a parent, Stan has long been my go-to for mainstream family movies for anything that's not owned by Disney. And this month, one of the biggest non-Disney family franchises ever has arrived on Stan: the original Despicable Me trilogy. That's February in my house sorted whether I like it or not.
All three Despicable Me movies (and the Minions spin-off movie) arrived on Stan on the 1st of February so they're ready to stream now.
Bonus pick: For the adults in the room, one of last year's most talked about comedies, the musical biopic Kneecap, is arriving on Stan 25 February. Check out the trailer here.
- All four movies plus Despicable Me 4 are also available to stream on Binge (grab a 7-day free trial)
- Minions: Rise of Gru is available on Paramount+ (grab a 7-day free trial)

Paramount+ Australia: New in February 2025

A Quiet Place: Day One
- Paramount+ release: 14 February 2025
- Genre: Sci-fi horror
- Runtime: 1h 39m
2018's A Quiet Place introduced us to a world invaded by violent monsters that are attracted to sound, and a family struggling to survive in it. A Quiet Place Part II follows on from the events of the first movie, showing how the family survived with one very noisy baby (born at the end of the first movie.) As the title suggests, A Quiet Place: Day One takes us back to where it all began for this world, showing the moment the creatures invaded New York City.
It's the most necessary prequel but, thankfully, it turned out quite well, thanks in part to the stellar lead performances by Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, and that damned cat.
- A Quiet Place (2018) is currently streaming on Binge and Paramount+
Here's everything else coming to Paramount+ in Australia this February.

Mythic Quest Season 4
- Return date: New episodes every Thursday
- Genre: Comedy
- Episodes: 10 new episodes
Apple’s underdog comedy about the ups and downs of the game development industry is back for a fourth season and while it’s early days, all signs suggest it’s just as sharp and side-splittingly funny as previous instalments.
Where the last season saw the cast (which is led by Rob McElhenney and Charlotte Nicdao but also includes Ashly Burch, Danny Pudi and David Hornsby) face off against one another, this one sees everyone back under the same roof with different roles. Based on the show’s history, it seems like a safe bet that this shuffling of the deck — plus a few guest stars like Charlie Day — will pay off in some pretty wacky workplace shenanigans.
With the series’ first spin-off on the way, there’s never been a better time to return or jump back into one of the most consistent and modern comedies on the Apple TV Plus roster. - Fergus Halliday
