Streaming service Binge has increased the price of its standard plan from $14 per month to $18 per month. This price rise impacts both new and existing subscribers. While new customers will pay the increased rate from today, existing subscribers on the standard plan won't be hit with a higher fee until their first monthly bill after August 6.

Binge's two other plans are unaffected, with pricing holding firm at $10 per for the basic plan and $22 per month for the premium plan. Here's now pricing and inclusions compare across Binge plans:

The 14-day free trial will reduce to 7 days starting on the 3rd of October 2023.

Today's news marks the first time Binge has increased prices since it launched in May 2020. Sibling streaming service Kayo also increased its prices recently, however.

The price increase means Binge is still cheaper than Netflix's standard plan, which now goes for $16.99 per month with similar inclusions. Stan's standard plan is still cheaper, however, at $14 per month. Amazon Prime Video is the cheapest mainstream service available locally, billed at $6.99 per month with no tiered options.
