Preorder Samsung’s new OLED monitor and nab a 2TB SSD
Samsung is tossing in 2TB of SSD storage to those who preorder its latest glitzy gaming monitor.
Announced at IFA 2022, the 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 has every bell and whistle you'd want a high-end gaming display to have. It's got a QHD resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio and a thrifty 0.03ms of response time.
Out of the box, the Odyssey OLED G8 arrives clocked at 175Hz and graded for 99.3% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. Boasting a curvature of 1800R, the curved monitor also comes with the same Smart TV functionality seen in last year's Smart Monitor M8.
According to Samsung Australia's director of display and brand memory, Phil Gaut the Odyssey OLED G8 sets a new benchmark for the brand when it comes to specs like response time.
The monitor is currently slated to hit local retailers in March 2023.
Safe to say, the premium perks described above don't come cheap. In Australia, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 comes in at a recommended retail price of $1,999. If you're already itching to add it to your desktop, there's good news: Samsung is looking to sweeten the deal for early adopters.
If you pre-order the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 between 16 February 2023 and 5 March 2023, the company will throw in a free Samsung SSD 990 PRO 2TB (worth $389 RRP) while stocks last.
