amaysim has acquired Circles.Life’s user base of over 150,000 customers.

All current Circles.Life customers in Australia will automatically be transitioned to amaysim in the next few months.

It is unclear at this stage whether or not Circles.Life customers will keep their current mobile plan inclusions or whether they will be moved to an existing amaysim plan.

A spokesperson for amaysim told WhistleOut “that is still being worked out through a large number of Circles plans, including legacy plans”.

At the time of writing, Circles.Life is still accepting new customers, but will eventually cease operations in Australia. Here are Circles.Life current mobile plans:

Here’s how they compare to amaysim’s 28-day recharge prepaid plans:

Both telcos operate their services over the Optus network and have cheaper mobile plans than what Optus itself offers. amaysim Vice President Vir Nath said that Circles.Life customers “can look forward to accessing additional features, including 5G, unlimited data banking, and a dedicated customer service team”.

Circles.Life’s current plans are 4G only and come with up to 500GB of data banking. They will also be able to take advantage of discounted amaysim NBN plans after they are moved over.

This is one of several acquisitions by amaysim in recent years including Vaya and OVO. amaysim itself was acquired by Optus in 2021.
