It's been a long wait, but Amazon Prime Video has finally revealed the first trailer for the Australian version of the single-camera mockumentary series The Office. Filling the shoes of previous office managers Michael Scott and David Brent is Aussie comedian Felicity Ward (known for her work on comedy shows like Spicks and Specks and Thank God You're Here.)

The first official trailer introduces the cast of office goons, with localisations of Dwight, Jim and Pam all making an appearance.

What is The Office Australia about?

Staring into the camera.

If you've seen any version of The Office before, you'll have a pretty good idea where this is going. Hannah Howard (Felicity Ward,) is a well-meaning, but awkward manager of a Sydney-based packaging company known as Flinley Craddick. Of course, it's not The Office without the cast of employees that fill out the desks. The trailer introduces us to the most obvious multiverse variants of The Office US and UK; there's a self-serious Dwight/Garrett stand-in played by Edith Poor (The Power of the Dog) and, of course, the heart of the show the romantic coupling ala Tim/Jim and Dawn/Pam played by Shari Sebbens and Steen Raskopoulos.

Some years apart, The Office Australia is set to take place in a post-WFH world where employees are being dragged back to the office, kicking and screaming no doubt.
