How to watch Mythic Quest Side Quest in Australia when it airs
If the latest season of Mythic Quest hasn't quite sated your desire for more stories about game development, I've got good news. The breakout comedy series is getting its first spin-off in 2025.
Co-created by Mythic Quest writers Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney, Side Quest promises to offer up a banquet of more self-contained stories akin to popular one-off Mythic Quest episodes like "“A Dark Quiet Death” and “Backstory!”
Here's everything you need to know about Mythic Quest Side Quest before the first season of spin-off arrives, including what it's about and where you'll be able to stream it in Australia.
How to watch Mythic Quest Side Quest online in Australia
Side Quest is an Apple TV Plus Original and therefore exclusive to the streaming service for the foreseeable future. That means that, digitally at least, Apple TV Plus is the only way you can possibly stream Side Quest online. Apple TV Plus is a fairly simple pitch: $12.99 per month for 4K streaming on six devices (via Apple's Family Sharing.) It's a month-to-month arrangement and comes with a 7-day free trial (plenty of time to watch Side Quest if that's all you're after.)

What is Side Quest about?

Originally called Mere Mortals, Side Quest takes the self-contained and often more dramatic episodes that have proved to be a surprise highlight for those watching Mythic Quest and puts them in their own lane. On one hand, it's sad to see the comedy series silo off one of its greatest strengths. On the other, those who do enjoy following the series' more thoughtful ventures down the rabbit hole of what video games mean to the people who play them are likely to be thrilled at the quartet of stories they're getting this time around as opposed to a single one-off episode each season.
The first season of Side Quest is set to run for four episodes, with each dropping weekly from March 26 2024. As per Apple:
