Another robot vacuum cleaner has landed in Australia today, and this one is the Saros 10 from Roborock which debuted at CES in January. We are seeing a much faster turn around with local launches from Roborock this year, so hopefully that means the Saros with the arm won’t be too far behind.

But back to the robovac at hand. The Saros 10 is in some ways the most advanced robot vacuum in Roborocks’ local collection. It comes equipped with a new sensor that retracts into the body of the device making it as small as 7.98cm tall. This is just a little bit smaller than Ecovacs’ latest release. It also comes with the same AdaptiLift technology that allows the robovac to launch over 4cm thresholds, and Roborock’s excellent mapping and object avoidance. However its mopping system is seemingly a bit behind.

Fitted out with a microfibre mop pad using VibraRise 4.0 technology, the mop vibrates up to 4,000 times per minute with up to 8N pressure. On paper this kind of mopping technology is pretty low in the pecking order, but in practice we have seen Roborock pull off the vibrating mop pad to excellent results. The previous VibraRise 3.0 was on the S8 MaxV Ultra which performed well above other microfibre mop pads in our testing. Perhaps it won’t actually be behind, but we’ll need to test it to find out. Conversely it doesn’t have the same extendable edge cleaning mini mop.

In contrast the Saros 10 has a huge 22,000Pa suction power along with the dual anti-tangle system. We recently testing the new DuoDivide roller brush on the Qrevo Curv and it proved to be the best anti-tangle system we have encountered to date.

The Saros 10 is available to pre-order now at $2,999 from Roborock’s online store and participating retailers. Every pre-order will also receive an additional $200 gift card to the Roborock official online store.
