Usually it takes us quite a while to get our hands on anything previewed at CES, but Aussie availability for Roborock's F25 wet/dry vacuum cleaner range starts today.
Although the brand introduced four models at CES, only the F25 and the F25 ACE are due for an Australian release. Both models boast 180 degree FlatReach, which allows them to open up entirely flat to get underneath low-clearing furniture, 20,000Pa suction power, and continously cleaning roller mop heads. All around the mopping technology isn't too different from the Flexi series, but these new models look to be significantly more powerful.
Most electric mops (bar the Dyson Wash G1) utilise suction to lift debris from the ground while also mopping, but this level of suction power is higher than others we've seen. In our testing of other hard floor cleaners suction has been a secondary thought, but from the specs it looks like Roborock is looking to really emphasise the "vacuum" part of this wet/dry cleaner.
Roborock also encorporated the ZeroTangle technology we've seen in its robot vacuums into these floor cleaners. The execution is a bit different however. Rather than using different brush heads, the F25 range uses JawScrapers - which look pretty similar to a comb - in order to capture hair pulled up by the mop.
Further to these the F25 ACE comes with an automatic detergent dispenser, which is rare in electric cleaning devices due to corrosion. It also has SlideTech which uses motorised wheels within the device to lighten the cleaning load so the device doesn't feel as heavy to use, and manouevers better. The ACE also has app compatibility so you can keep up to date with the wear of the device through your phone. If you're in to that sort of thing.
The F25 base model is on sale now for $699 from Roborock and other retailers. The ACE doesn't have an exact release date yet, but should be here in March and will retail for $999.
