Optus is looking to start the new financial year on the right foot with a freshly simplified NBN lineup.

Across the board, Optus NBN customers can now bundle their service with an Optus mobile plan. If they do, they'll save $15 per month for the first twelve months.

If you have multiple mobile services attached to your account, you can save even more money. The discount here doesn't quite stack though. It caps out at $45 per month, and to get that discount you've got to have a total of four mobile services attached to your account.

Beyond the ability to bundle services together, Optus has also made a few other tweaks in its latest NBN refresh. For many, the most noteworthy of these is that the provider has gotten rid of its Entertainer plans.

The big selling point for these plans was that they included a Netflix Standard subscription at no additional cost. Going forward, this perk has been remixed into the provider's NBN 100 and NBN 1000 plans. These now come with a $20 credit that can be used on any streaming service available via SubHub, which includes Netflix as well as other mainstays like Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus.

The provider also confirmed that those on either of these high-speed plans will be automatically migrated up to faster speed tier in September, so long as their connection supports it.

You can find Optus' refreshed NBN roster in the widget below.

Another change that might stand out in the widget above is that Optus has cut its NBN 250 offering entirely. A more subtle change that you might miss is that the provider has changed the way it structures the cost of pairing up one of its NBN plans with a modem.

Previously, Optus internet customers would get their modem for free if they stuck with the provider for 36-months after signing up. If you bailed early, you'd be looking at fee for every month you have left in that term. Going forward, NBN customers will pay nothing for their modem if they stick with Optus for just 24 months instead. It's a small change but a positive one if you're someone who likes to shop around and change up their NBN plan to save money.
