Buddy Telco is bucking the trend, with its parent company confirming that prices for its NBN plans won't be rising in July.

Speaking to WhistleOut, Aussie Broadband Chief Strategy Officer Jonathan Prosser confirmed that NBN prices for its affordability-oriented sub-brand would be staying where they are for now.
"By relying on the smarts of our clever Live Chat team, the brilliant Buddy Bot and our new approach, we've been able to keep Buddy's pricing stable so people can continue to get fast, reliable internet at a great rate without any hidden fees or long-term contracts," he said.

The move follows weeks of NBN pricing rise announcements, with more expected to come in the wake of NBN Co's latest review of wholesale pricing.

Prosser also teased an expansion of Buddy Telco's offering into the wider mobile market - with more details to come at a later date - and pointed to the provider's new EOFY deals as a sign of its commitment to catering to cost-conscious consumers.

The first cab off the rank here is the Buddy Telco Value NBN Unlimited plan. This plan is usually priced at $75 per month. It comes with unlimited data and typical download speeds of 49Mbps and upload speeds of 16Mbps.

New customers who sign up before 30 June 2025 and use the promo code EOFY8 will pay $67 per month instead of the usual price. That discount will only stick around for the first six months. However, past that point you're free to shop around for a better deal.

If you need a few more megabytes per second when it comes to download speeds, then the Buddy Telco Speedy NBN Unlimited plan might be the better fit. This plan is usually priced at $85 per month. It comes with unlimited data and typical download speeds of 99Mbps and upload speeds of 16Mbps.

New customers who sign up before 30 June 2025 and use the promo code EOFY10 will pay for $75 per month instead. That promo pricing will stick around for the first six months but there's no contract involved, so you're free to find a better deal after the honeymoon ends.
