It Ends With Us is now available to watch at home in Australia

If you've found yourself caught up in the unfortunate whirlwind of B-tier Hollywood drama surrounding It Ends With Us over the last few months, you might have crossed over from disinterested to morbidly curious. Don't worry, I've been ground down to that point too.

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's controversy-riddled It Ends With Us is now available to stream on Binge and Amazon Prime Video in Australia. 

As a Sony/Columbia joint, It Ends With Us will probably end up on most major streaming services eventually, but at the time of updating this guide, it was only available on-demand through Amazon Prime Video, Binge and Foxtel Now. 

It Ends With Us is also available to watch at home through digital storefronts like Apple TV (iTunes) and Amazon. Both services will charge $2.99 to rent it in 4K or $9.99 to purchase it in 4K. 

It Ends With Us is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2016 novel of the same name. Part of the reason it's so utterly frustrating that the conversation around the film has pulled focus on a few feuding celebrities is that the source material is an intimate exploration of domestic abuse and childhood trauma. 

The film (and novel) follows protagonist Lily Bloom (Blake Lively) as she sets of for Boston with big dreams of opening her own florist. When that dream comes true, a relationship with an elderly, wealthy neurosurgeon Ryle (Justin Baldoni) blossoms.

Soon after Ryle's repressed violent nature bubbles to the surface, Lily is forced to save face in an awkward encounter with her high school sweetheart Atlas (Brandon Sklenar,) who is immediately suspicious of the abuse at hand.   

Without giving anything more away, the movie was made with a sequel in mind, which would have been naturally adapted from Hoover's 2022 follow-up novel It Starts With Us. Given the maelstrom of drama surrounding the first flick, I wouldn't be holding my breath.
