Deadpool & Wolverine is now available to stream on Disney Plus in Australia

The insanely successful R-rated superhero flick Deadpool & Wolverine is laughing all the way to the bank and now it's available to stream on-demand with Disney Plus.

What started as a fan (and starring celebrity) campaign over a decade ago to have Ryan Reynolds star as the Merc with a Mouth has gone on to become one of the most profitable superhero film series of all time. More impressive still is the fact that all three Deadpool movies rank in the top five highest-grossing R-rated movies ever made. Deadpool's fourth-wall-breaking schtick could have gotten old fast, but it seems bringing back the greatest on-screen superhero of all time, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, has helped Deadpool remain relevant, despite a shaky few years for superhero flicks.

Deadpool & Wolverine's success speaks for itself (its currently sitting at  $1.3 billion worldwide gross earnings,) but the fact that it's still playing at cinemas 12 weeks after its initial release speaks volumes. So does its theatrical and home release crossover. Destined for Disney Plus (a joke made in the film,) Deadpool and Wolverine is already available to purchase digitally through services like Apple TV and Amazon.

Deadpool and Wolverine made its on-demand streaming debut on Tuesday the 12th of November when it launched on Disney Plus.

How to watch Deadpool and Wolverine online in Australia

Now streaming on Disney Plus in Australia.

Deadpool and Wolverine is now officially available to stream on Disney Plus in Australia but the total jokefest is also available to rent or buy digitally through Apple TV, Amazon and Microsoft movies.

At the time of writing, the Deadpool & Wolverine digital purchase will cost you the same through all digital services, $24.99. Different services have different rental conditions but typically you have 48 hours to finish streaming your rental before it expires.

There are two Disney Plus plan tiers: Disney Plus Standard and Disney Plus Premium, costing $13.99 and $17.99 per month, respectively. The difference is pretty straightforward, Disney Plus Standard gets you HD 1080p streaming on two devices at once, and Disney Plus Premium gets you 4K streaming on four devices at once.

What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?

Corporate Merger: The Movie

The third movie in the Deadpool movie franchise (this time with Big Fat Liar's Shawn Levy at the helm,) Deadpool & Wolverine wastes no time taking advantage of the Fox-Disney merger, and not just for laughs. We reconvene with Reynolds' scarred Wade Wilson in something of a midlife crisis, as a successful but unfulfilled car salesman. A brief flashback involving Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan shows us where it all went wrong: some time after the events of Deadpool II, Wade Wilson applied for a spot on the Avengers, but was ultimately turned away (it may or may not have something to do with being a ruthless murderer.)

So Wilson has temporarily hung up the spandex to make an honest living. That is, until, fate (aka the oft talked about but rarely seen MC U multiverse) comes knocking. The reason you see Wolverine's name in the title— and more importantly Hugh Jackman's chiselled face on the poster— is best discovered for yourself. All we'll say is that the Jackerine is far from the only familiar face you'll see in Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool & Wolverine is now available on Disney Plus and if you're keen on revisiting the first two films, you'll find those on on the same service. But once you've seen Deadpool & Wolverine, what you'll really be hankering for is a full rewatch of the X-Men film series. Once again, each of those films can also be found on Disney Plus; including X-Men,  X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Logan and The Wolverine. Even Ryan Reynolds' ill-fated first stab at the Deadpool character can be found on Disney Plus thanks to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Check it out, bub.
