Stan and Sony Pictures have extended their deal which guarantees Stan exclusive access to a range of first-run US dramas. On top of retaining access to big hitters like Yellowstone, Stan will also get the streaming rights for iconic TV like Breaking Bad, The Nanny, Dawson's Creek, and Better Call Saul.

The main focus of this partnership has centred around a new iteration of Outlander, this one titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood. It is set to land on Stan August 9 and according to Sony Picture's SVP of Distribution APAC, Adam Herr, it is set to be one of the hottest pieces of content in years.

"Through our decade-long strategic alliance with Stan, the platform has been able to deliver Sony Pictures’ premium entertainment to viewers. We are committed to this fruitful collaboration and look forward to bringing audiences more world-class storytelling and what we believe will be one of the most talked-about series launches Australia has seen in years."

Alongside premium drama, Stan will also get the exclusive rights to a range of Sony Pictures films including the excellent Spider-Man Spider-Verse movies.
