Today, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed the official pricing for its Australian Max plans. When the American streaming service launches locally at the end of the month, Binge will lose a lot of its popular HBO TV shows (like Succession and The Last of Us) to Max. In a bid to keep you subscribed (or get you to resubscribe,) Binge is offering 50% off its Basic plan for 12 months. That brings the monthly price down from $10 per month to $4.99 per month. Effectively saving you $60 on your next 12 months of Binge Basic.

The $4.99 Binge Basic deal is available to both new and existing customers. It expires on the 31st of March 2025, after which the price for Basic will revert to $10 per month.

What does Binge Basic include?

Binge's cheapest Basic plan includes High Definition 1080p streaming on a single device. The downside to Binge Basic is that it's ad-supported, meaning you'll have to deal with the occasional ad-break if you want the discount.

Here's how that Basic deal compares with the other plans Binge offers:

Binge has become a formidable competitor in the streaming service space so it will be interesting to see how the Foxtel-owned service will fare once Max claims its content back at the end of the month.
