Fancy everything about the iPhone 16e except the price? Optus is making the cost of Apple's latest iPhone a little easier to stomach.

Announced as part of the carrier's latest salvo of "Epic Deals", Optus is now offering the iPhone 16e on a plan for $200 less than the usual price.  This discount is applied to the handset fees and is available across both the 128GB and 256GB versions.

Usually you'd pay $27.74 per month for the 128GB iPhone 16e on a 36-month plan through Optus, but you're now looking at just $22.17 per month. Stick with Optus for the full term, those monthly savings will add up to $200 off the recommended retail price for the device.

If you leave early, you'll forfeit the discount and have to pay whatever sum remains. As you might expect, the only way to take advantage of this deal is to pair up the iPhone 16e with one of Optus' mobile plans. If you want to push the costs down even further, you can always opt for a longer 36-month plan rather than a 24-month one.

If that's the case be sure to take a look at the widget below for a snapshot of the cheapest iPhone 16e plans currently available through Optus.

Prefer a little more storage? The 256GB version of the iPhone 16e might be the better play. You've got the same selection of plans to choose from, though the total cost adds up to a slightly greater sum. You can see the difference yourself by taking a look at the widget below.

This promotion will stick around until 25 May 2025, so you've got ample time to decide whether it makes sense for you. If you find yourself on the fence then the widget below offers a snapshot of the cheapest iPhone 16e plans in Australia and may be exactly what you need to jump off it.
