Boost Mobile is celebrating its 25th birthday with big discounts and bonus data on its SIM only prepaid plans

That's sure to be good news if you're in the news for a mobile provider with access to the best coverage in Australia, but don't love the idea of paying the premium that's usually involved with the Telstra network. Where other Telstra network providers only have access to the carrier's wholesale network, Boost Mobile customers get access to the same 4G and 5G coverage as their Telstra counterparts.

As part of the brand's birthday blowout, those that sign up for any of the Boost Mobile prepaid plans below before 6 October 2025, will score an extra 25GB of data on the usual allowance for the first three recharges.

Meanwhile, Aussies that sign up for the provider's $300 Prepaid plan before 6 October 2025 will save $50 on the usual price and score an extra 60GB of data on their first recharge. This bonus brings the data allowance for this plan to a total of 300GB.

In addition to the above, this plan also comes with unlimited local calls and texts, access to the Telstra network with 5G speeds of up to 150Mbps, unlimited international calls to 20 selected destinations, 3600 minutes of international calls to 30 additional destinations and 3,600 standard international texts.

For a sense of how it compares to the rest of the market, check out the widget below for a snapshot of the cheapest 365-day mobile plans that come with at least 200GB of data.

The obvious pick of the lot here is the Kogan Large 365-day Flex Plan. Although this plan relies on the Vodafone network and can't match Boost Mobile for coverage, you're still getting plenty of bang your buck.

On top of the usual standard talk and text, you're walking away with a whopping 360GB of data to use over the course of a year. Although this plan doesn't include 5G coverage, it does offer the ability to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points for every $2 you spend.

If you sign up before 11 August 2025, you'll pay just $179 rather than usual $240. That discount makes this an obvious alternative to  what Boost is offering as part of its birthday sales. You can find this deal while it lasts in the widget below.
