The Eras Tour movie, and other Taylor Swift films
The Eras Tour film is a cinematic version of Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour. Swift has had camera crews capturing the action across the North American leg of the tour, but the film itself is from the three shows at SoFi Stadium in California.
The film is being released despite the SAG-AFTRA strikes, but no that doesn’t make Taylor Swift a scab. Swift reached an agreement with the unions before production began, and as such the film was given the green light.
Films are nothing new for Swift, the artist released the Reputation Stadium Tour on Netflix, and Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions on Disney+, The Speak Now and 1989 Tours, and the Miss Americana documentary shot during her Lover era, which is available to stream on Netflix.
