Whether you don't want to be beholden to any streaming services or simply want to catch a flick that's drifting in the grey area between cinema release and streaming release, you're going to love what's coming this week - Movie Frenzy.

An initiative by the Australian Home Entertainment Distributors Association (AHEDA), Movie Frenzy sees all the major film rental and purchasing platforms slashing their prices for one week, starting tomorrow (March 5) and running until Thursday, March 11. That means you can watch new movies like Tenet (Christopher Nolan's mindbending spiritual sequel to Inception), Unhinged (starring Russell Crowe), family favourite Trolls World Tour, Aussie-made Rams and the Tim Winton adaptation Dirt Music.

The sale spans pretty much every digital rental and purchase platform known to man (including Amazon Prime Video, Google Play Store, YouTube and Microsoft, just to name a few) and can be accessed from your smart TV, mobile, tablet, PC, Apple TV, Fetch, Foxtel, Telstra TV, Chromecast, PlayStation and Xbox. On most platforms, the movies are available to rent for $3 or less and to own between $4.99 and $14.99. For more info, head to the Movie Frenzy website.

In the meantime, start planning your movie marathon by checking out a small selection of the hundreds of flicks on offer as part of Movie Frenzy.
