Dell is looking to catch your ears as much as your eyes with its new Dell Plus monitor. Built around a 31.5-inch QD-OLED panel with 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the foundations here aren’t that far off what the latest Alienware gaming monitors get you.

That said, one thing you’ll find here that you won’t there is support for 3D spatial audio. To that end, the Dell Plus monitor features 5 built-in speakers and a built-in webcam. The monitor then uses AI-powered head tracking to align those speakers to your ears and then uses beamforming to direct binaural audio to each of your ears. It even uses disruptive interference to cancel the sound for the other ear to create a truer spatial audio experience.

This kind of richer monitor experience is distinct from but in some ways similar to Apple’s Studio Display. Asked whether Dell sees this growing interest in monitors that are more than just nice to look at, Dell’s VP of display Yoon Lee said it comes from a growing appetite for screens that do more.

“What's interesting is when they all look at Netflix or whether or when they look at some of the other contents, they leverage a lot of their monitors other than the TVs,” she said.

“We definitely see a trend where consumers really care about having the best front of screen experience,” she said.

There’s no pricing yet for the Dell Plus Monitor but expect to hear more when it arrives later in 2025.
