Apple isn't the only smartphone brand teasing something new in September.

Samsung has made the date of its next hardware showcase official. As per a teaser that went out this week, the company's next "Galaxy Event" is slated to take place on 4 September 2025.

Those looking to tune in from Australia will be able to do so via YouTube livestream at 7:30PM AEST.

According to Samsung, the event will offer the opportunity to"discover a more seamless mobile experience across a wider range of devices – from premium AI tablets to the newest Galaxy member of the Galaxy S25 family."

Based on that description, a follow-up to last year's Galaxy Tab S10 seems like a safe bet. Who knows? Maybe we'll even get an update to the Galaxy Ring or Samsung's Vision Pro competitor.

At this stage, the other obvious culprit is an updated version of the Galaxy S24 FE, which made its debut back in September 2024. Samsung may have added a slimmer smartphone to its premium lineup in 2025 with the Galaxy S25 Edge, but its thriftier take on the formula remains missing in action.

Curiously, Samsung has eschewed its usual 'Unpacked' branding this time around. Nor has it decided to tie the event to Germany's IFA tradeshow, which is taking place the same week. In any case, it's difficult to discern whether that shift in nomenclature suggests anything about the event itself or where Samsung wants to set expectations for it.

We'll have to wait until September to find out.
