If you need of a new smartphone but aren't too concerned with having the latest and greatest, you can save a good chunk of money by opting for a slightly older model (and even more if you purchase a refurbished model).
The iPhone 11 may have been released back in 2019 but the three upgrades since (iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14) have offered rather incremental improvements to the iPhone 11's winning formula. Sure, the gap between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 11 is quite wide but, then again, so is the price.
The bottom line is the iPhone 11 is still an incredible smartphone that will likely receive support from Apple for years to come.
Refurbished iPhone 11 deals

The standard Apple iPhone 11 is the cheapest of the three models available. Released in September 2019, the iPhone 11 boasts a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina IPS display, two 12MP rear cameras (wide and ultrawide), 4K video recording at 60fps and the Apple A13 Bionic processing chip. It has all conveniences of a modern smartphone, like 18W Fast-Charging, NFC and Apple Pay, and Face ID.
It's available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants and can be found in six different colours: Black, Green, Yellow, Purple, Red, and White.
Loads of websites offer refurbished iPhone handsets but it's one area where we recommend going with a trusted and established brand with a reliable warranty policy (in case anything does go wrong).

Refurbishing is the process of repairing, rebuilding and polishing products that have been returned to retailers for one reason or another, in order to sell them again in an as-new condition.
Different retailers have different processes and quality assurance benchmarks, but for the most part, a refurbished product should be practically indistinguishable from a brand-new product unless stated otherwise. As in the case of iPhones, there are savings to be found when buying refurbished but they also come with the understanding that the product you purchase is living its second life. Still, most reputable retailers will offer their own warranty and stamp of approval. Amazon, for example, offers a 180-day warranty on its refurbished products via its Amazon Renewed program.
Refurbished iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max deals

The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max were the first "Pro" models Apple ever released. Back in 2019, going pro would upgrade you to a fancier OLED (HDR10/Dolby Vision display,) a telephoto camera lens, a stainless steel frame with better durability, and a bigger 6.7-inch display in the case of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It also introduced a larger 512GB storage option, exclusive to the Pro range.
These days, there are even more reasons to consider opting for a Pro model, particularly in the iPhone 14 series, but when it comes to the iPhone 11 Pro, the differences aren't all that groundbreaking. The internals are mostly the same across all three devices; they feature the same A13 Bionic chipset, the same CPU and so on. The core camera specs are the same across all three devices (except for the additional telephoto lens.)
The only other major difference between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro is the range of colours available. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro are available in Space Grey, Gold and Midnight Green.
Refurbished iPhone 11 Pro models currently start at around $620 through Amazon.

How does the iPhone 11 compare with iPhone 14?
Popular iPhone 11 plans
Despite releasing back in 2019, the iPhone 11 is actually still available on a plan through select providers. Both the standard 64GB and the 128GB iPhone 11 are available through select providers. At the time of writing, only Optus is currently carrying stock of the iPhone 11 but we'll update this section if things change.
It's also worth mentioning that the devices below are not refurbished, but rather brand-new handsets supplied by telcos on a plan. As such, you can expect to pay a little more overall than if you were to purchase a refurbished iPhone 11 outright. Still, the iPhone 11 has been discounted to a more palatable price since it first released, even when sold brand-new.
