Black Friday internet and NBN deals are a great way to save a bit of cash on your monthly bills. For the most part, these deals are aimed at new customers and offer a timed discount, after which the monthly price returns to a standard one. And, of course, terms and conditions apply.

We’ll take a deeper look at a few of the Black Friday NBN deals in our database, but here’s a quick summary to get you started:

Buddy Black Friday NBN deals

Buddy’s Black Friday NBN deal is very straightforward: new residential customers who sign up before January 13 get their first month free on any NBN plan.

While this might not sound like as big a deal as you see from other telcos, Buddy is already a budget-focused brand. It offers discounts much more rarely than other providers, tending to rely on its cheap standard pricing. So, really, any discount on top of that is a nice bonus.

The full T&Cs are available on Buddy’s website.

Dodo Black Friday NBN deals

The Dodo Black Friday deals offer a discounted price for the first six months, after which your bill will revert to a standard price ongoing. The amount you save is either $25 or $30 per month, depending on the plan. In total, the discounts work out to $150 or $180 over six months, respectively.

Refreshingly, this deal is available to both new and returning customers, rather than only new ones. But existing Dodo customers still aren’t eligible. This offer ends December 2, and the discount is terminated if you change plans, move house, or upgrade to fibre before it ends.

Kogan Black Friday NBN deals

Kogan has a couple of Black Friday deals, though one is definitely the main event. For NBN 500 and NBN 100 plans, new customers who sign up before midnight (AEDT) on December 07 get $20 per month off for the first six months – though if you cancel within that six-month period, the discount for your final billing period is forfeited.

On top of this, Kogan’s Black Friday Credit Offer is applicable to all its NBN plans. New customers who sign up to any Kogan NBN plan before midnight (AEDT) on December 7 get $50 of Kogan credit, as long as you stick around for at least one full month.

Here’s a look at all Kogan’s NBN plans, keeping in mind only the NBN 100 and NBN 500 plans get the full Black Friday deal treatment:

You can view Kogan’s full T&Cs once you've followed one of the plan links above (you have to scroll pretty far down the page and open a drop-down menu).

More Telecom Black Friday NBN deals

More’s Black Friday NBN deal is simple: customers who sign up for any new NBN service between November 1 and December 11 get a one-off $50 bill credit. Maximum one credit per account.

To get the credit, you need to stick around until it’s applied to your account, which More promises will be no later than February 16, 2025. Your credit is then applied to the next bill after that.

Optus Black Friday internet deals

Optus’ Black Friday deal applies to customers who sign to a new NBN 100 or NBN 500 plan or a 5G home internet service, as long as it isn't the slowest speed tier. While it’s implemented as a $15 per month discount, the deal is probably best thought of as getting $180 off over the first 12 months. This is because you need to pay back the difference if you cancel within that first year.

The Black Friday deal isn’t available in conjunction with Optus’ Bundle Bonus offer, which the telco is also running right now (and which offers the same monthly discount, but for more expansive plans that come with added bells and whistles).

Superloop Black Friday NBN deals

Superloop’s Black Friday deals come in the form of introductory discounts. New customers who sign up to any Superloop residential NBN plan or Other Fibre Plan before the close of business on December 11 get $30 per month off for the first six months. After that, the price reverts to Superloop’s standard billing. Previous Superloop customers might also be classified as eligible if they haven’t had a plan with the telco for more than 12 months.

As with other deals of this nature, if you downgrade your Superloop NBN or Other Fibre Plan during the Discount Period to a lower plan tier, you’ll forfeit future discounts. But if (once you already have the discount) you upgrade to a faster speed tier, the discount will transfer to the new plan.

Tangerine Black Friday NBN deals

Tangerine’s deals stand out for a couple of reasons. First, its $20 per month discount lasts a full 12 months, rather than the more-standard six. And you don’t have to stick around for that whole time, either. This discount has no fixed contract and is applied on a month-by-month basis, so if you leave within that first year then you don’t suddenly owe Tangerine a heap of cash.

Second, the deal is for new “services”, as opposed to only for new customers. So returning customers could also be eligible (sadly existing customers are, as always, out of luck). And you’ll even keep the discount if you move premises during the promotional period.
