If you've any burning questions about the iPhone 17, you won't have to wait too long for answers.

Apple has officially released a teaser for its next hardware showcase, which is expected to see the company announce the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, a new set of AirPods, and an updated Apple Watch.

As per the teaser, which depicts a blue and orange version of the Apple logo, the next generation of Apple smartphones will be announced at 3AM on 10 September 2025 AEST.

In previous years, Apple's various invitations and teasers have often foreshadowed the technology or products on display ahead of time. This time around, your best guess is probably as good as ours. The groovy graphic above could be teeing up something as mundane as a new colour for the iPhone or as bizarre as the introduction of a temperature sensor akin to the one found in the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

At this stage, the biggest reveal of the event is expected to be the introduction of a new slimmer model. Although a thinner design could come with compromises and caveats, Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge offered a promising taste of what a premium device that balances portability and performance could look like, and even just the idea of Apple upping the ante is easy to get behind.

The rumoured iPhone 17 Air (which could end up branded as the iPhone 17 Slim) is said to feature a 6.6-inch LTPO display on the outside and the A19 Bionic processor on the inside. We'll have to wait and see how that speculation shakes out, but some reports suggest that this new model could replace the Plus in the lineup.

We'll have to wait until 10 September 2025 to find out for sure. Although the two weeks prior to the reveal of a new iPhone are usually one of the worst times of the year to buy an Apple smartphone, it might be the last chance to grab the iPhone 16 Plus before it potentially gets delisted from the Apple store.

Alternatively, if you want to pair the device up with a postpaid plan, you can find a snapshot of the cheapest options below.
