Vidgo is one of the newest live TV streaming services on the market, and we’re here to help you decide if you should subscribe.

Vidgo has one of the best dollar-to-channel ratios compared to other services, and you’ll even have access to on-demand content and Cloud DVR.

Vidgo gives you more than 110 channels for $70 per month. Or you can get all of Vidgo's English and Spanish channels for $100 a month.

Let’s get into all of the details of this new streaming service.

Vidgo’s price is fair for the number of channels you receive.

To put it in perspective, Vidgo charges about 56 cents per channel, fuboTV charges 61 cents per channel, YouTube TV charges 76 cents per channel, and Hulu + Live TV charges $1 per channel.

Although Vidgo’s pricing looks great, you have to consider that you aren’t receiving any premium channels or unlimited DVR in your plan. 

If you can live without either of those, then we recommend Vidgo for you. 

Vidgo doesn’t have a contract and has zero fees. Another point for Vidgo.

Vidgo offers a DVR service, but it's only available to customers with a Premium subscription or customers who have subscribed to a Plus plan for at least 90 days. And even if you do get Vidgo's DVR service, it only allows three simultaneous devices per account and even Vidgo's Premium plan only allows 20 hours of DVR storage.

Vidgo offers more than 150 channels, and those channels include both English and Spanish.

Like other live TV streaming services, the number of channels and the specific channels you can access varies depending on where you live.

You could potentially get up to 114 English-language and 52 Spanish-language channels.

We wish Vidgo would offer a free trial so you can see if your service will have live TV channels you want before paying.

Vidgo offers an average number of sports channels compared to other live TV streaming services.

Vidgo gives you 31 sports channels, YouTube TV provides 14, and Hulu + Live TV has 13 in its lineup. (If you’re looking for the most sports channels, you can get 50 with fuboTV).

Vidgo is the only live TV streaming service on the market that includes the NFL RedZone Channel in its standard lineup. Usually, you have to add this channel as an “add-on” for at least $10.

Vidgo is compatible with most updated streaming devices.

You and two roommates can stream Vidgo simultaneously without getting kicked out in the middle of Breaking News. You’ll be able to watch the news and a PAC-12 game while you’re waiting for your car to be serviced or to be called back for your doctor’s appointment.

Vidgo’s home screen is pretty intuitive and easy to navigate, but it might take a little getting used to if you’re accustomed to other live TV streaming services.

We’ll go over the parts we don’t like about Vidgo and end on a good note with the features we think you might like.

First, you won’t find an on-demand tab at the top since Vidgo doesn’t offer on-demand content. This is a big deal because most live TV streaming services do.

That, and the fact that Vidgo doesn’t have a DVR, can very easily be a dealbreaker for some. Not everyone is home the moment their favorite TV show is airing live.

The second downside to Vidgo's user interface is that you won't see a Record button when you click on a movie or show. And lastly, you won’t find channels broken down into a list of genres.

Instead, you’ll find a few tabs at the top to help you get to what you want: All, Recent, Entertainment, Sports, and Family.

We like how you can preview the program in the little box on the right before clicking the expand screen button to watch.

Vidgo makes it easy for English and Spanish speakers, which is unique in the live TV streaming industry. Not only does Vidgo offer up to 52 Spanish-language channels, but you can easily change the language of your user interface by clicking the English or Spanish button on the top right-hand corner when you first log in.
