Cheapest Verizon Fios Home Internet plan

The cheapest Verizon fiber internet plan is its Internet 300/300.

Honestly, the price of about $40 a month for 300 Mbps download speeds is quite the deal. Not to mention that Verizon requires no annual contracts and doesn’t automatically jack your price up after the first year or so. (Though they don’t promise to never raise prices.)

How much internet speed do you need?

We recommend at least 50 Mbps as a bare minimum download speed, but your household may need more speed than that. Find out how to tell what speed is right for you in our guide to internet speeds.

It’s worth mentioning that the Internet 300/300 and Internet 500/500 plans are available only in parts of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. Still, Verizon Fios Home Internet prices are some of the more reasonable prices we’ve seen—especially for fiber internet. And, if you live in on the East Coast, Verizon Fios TV could be available to you.

Another quirk to Verizon Wi-Fi plans is that there are no data caps so you won't have to worry about running over while streaming your favorite shows.

We’re not surprised at this, since most internet providers tend to give you the best price per Mbps deal on their fastest plans. And sadly, we’re not surprised that the Verizon DSL plan has the worst price per Mbps.

It’s also worth noting that, if you can get Internet 300/300 or Internet 500/500, those two plans offer a lot of value. But with 20 cents being the highest price per Mbps for all Verizon Fios Home Internet plans, all of them offer a good bit of value.

FAQ

Still wondering about how to get the best deal on Verizon Fios Home Internet? Let’s see if we can help.

What is the cheapest Verizon Fios internet package?

The Verizon Fios Home Internet 300/300 package is the cheapest Verizon Wi-Fi plan if you go by price, while the Fios Gigabit Connection plan offers the best price per Mbps.

How much is Verizon Fios internet a month?

Verizon Fios Home Internet costs anywhere from $39.99 to $89.99 a month, plus equipment rental fees for all plans except for the Fios Gigabit Connection plan.

How can I get Verizon Fios for cheaper?

There's always the option of trying to negotiate your bill, but this wont always work. Verizon does offer an autopay option that can save you upwards of $5-$10 a month depending on your plan.

Another option is to downgrade your plan if you feel that you're paying more if you don't actually need the speeds.

How much is Verizon Fios internet after the 1st year?

Verizon doesn’t automatically bump your internet price up after one year—but it doesn’t say it won’t either. We expect that the ISP bumps prices up as the economy changes or as it needs to cover more infrastructure costs.

The good news is that you might get lucky and keep the same monthly Verizon Fios Home Internet price for a couple years or more.

How do I get Verizon Fios to lower my internet bill?

There are a few ways you might be able to get Verizon to lower your internet bill, including the following:

  • Downgrade your internet speed if you can
  • Call Verizon’s sales department and see if there are any internet deals available
  • Ask to have any unnecessary rental equipment removed—and don’t forget to return it
  • Combine your Verizon Fios Home Internet plan with a Verizon Wireless unlimited plan and enroll in the Mobile + Home Rewards program for $10–$20 savings a month

We’ve also got more tips on how you can save money on your internet bill—or let us know in the comments if you’ve got a tip that’s worked for you.

Does Verizon ever have deals for existing customers?

Verizon usually has great deals for new customers, but if you’re already subscribed to Verizon Fios Home Internet or its DSL internet service, you might be able to get a deal by calling the sales department.
