In 2019, Apple launched its ad-free subscription-based video-on-demand streaming service, Apple TV+. Subscribers to the online service can binge a collection of original television shows and full-length feature films developed by Apple, such as Ted Lasso and Dickinson.
Apple TV+ originals feature well-known Hollywood thespians, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jason Momoa, and Steve Carell. Even Stephen Spielberg stepped on board to produce the anthology series, Amazing Stories.

Let’s start by answering this question in reverse—what isn’t Apple TV+? It is essential to understand that Apple TV+ is not Apple TV. The latter option is Apple’s hardware streaming box, which allows you to access online streaming content once connected to your TV.
Once we add on the plus symbol and get Apple TV+, we are talking about Apple’s video-on-demand streaming service. Similar to other streaming services, such as Netflix and Max, Apple TV+ offers up television shows and movies for your viewing pleasure.

Despite the name, you don’t need an Apple TV to enjoy Apple TV+. You can enjoy the Apple TV+ streaming service via your favorite web browser on Mac or PC.
As well as the web, Apple TV+ is available via the Apple TV app, which is preinstalled on most Apple TV devices. Merely launch the app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and select the Apple TV+ tab to get started.
Enjoy the action on the big screen, Apple TV+ can be streamed via Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, and Xbox.

How much is Apple TV+?
Apple TV+ currently costs $6.99/month on its own or can be accessed as part of the Apple One bundle, which starts at $16.95/month. Apple One includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, Apple News+, and Apple Fitness+.
