For anyone who needs to connect to the Internet using a VPN with a multitude of devices, you might consider IPVanish. The company removed any device restrictions. That means, in a direct comparison to ExpressVPN, there is a lot to think about. While IPVanish is technically not the best VPN in comparison to one of our top overall picks, it does provide an exceptional value.

If you own several smartphones, laptops, a smart television, and a few other gadgets, you can pay $11 per month to protect them all. ExpressVPN provides more servers and countries for the VPN connection and has a better interface, but only lets you connect with up to five gadgets per account. That’s not a serious enough flaw to beat ExpressVPN, but IPVanish is an excellent value for some users.

IPVanish vs. ExpressVPN: Prices

IPVanish is cheaper than ExpressVPN and offers a better value.

If you look around an office or your house and realize you own far more than five gadgets, you might consider IPVanish. At $10.99 per month, you can connect from every device you own compared to only five devices with ExpressVPN (at a higher price).

In truth, though, only power users own multiple laptops and phones.

IPVanish costs $3.99 per month when you pay annually while ExpressVPN charges $8.32 per month.

That said, it’s nice to know you can connect with more than five devices if that ever becomes a possibility for you. You might buy an extra laptop or phone, a new smart television, a new router, or other gadgets. That exceptional value sets IPVanish apart from almost every other VPN provider.

IPVanish vs. ExpressVPN: Number of servers

ExpressVPN lets you connect to a much higher number of servers.

You can connect to one of over 3,000 servers using ExpressVPN, and that specification alone might make you question whether IPVanish is the better value. With that many servers, you can connect on business trips or vacations but also bypass any server limitations in countries that restrict access. And you have far more options available to connect and then test the speed of the server to meet your needs. IPVanish is just below ExpressVPN with 2,000+ servers.

IPVanish vs. ExpressVPN: Number of countries

ExpressVPN also beats out IPVanish for country connections.

IPVanish comes much closer to ExpressVPN in terms of country connections available with only 75. That number falls short but still provides a way to connect if you travel frequently or need to connect in a country that might offer a streaming service you want to use with a legal account. It’s almost too close to call, since most users probably won’t care if there are 75 or 94 countries available.

IPVanish vs. ExpressVPN: Number of devices

IPVanish wins easily when it comes to device connections.

No other subscription-based VPN client we’ve found has removed restrictions for the number of devices you can use. With IPVanish, it is unlimited. That means the overall value is better, although as you will note that, in our final analysis, it isn’t quite enough to deserve the nod as the better VPN overall compared to ExpressVPN.

IPVanish vs. ExpressVPN: Which is better?

An excellent interface, more powerful specifications, and reasonable pricing make ExpressVPN the better pick. However, if you are mostly interested in connecting many devices you own, then IPVanish is by far the better value.

  • Pricing: IPVanish Lower monthly cost and an exceptional value.
  • Number of servers: ExpressVPN With almost 3,000 servers, it is the top pick.
  • Number of countries: ExpressVPN You can connect in up to 94 countries.
  • Number of devices: IPVanish No limits on how many devices you can use.

Still got questions about which VPN is for you?
