DIRECTV is one of the best TV services with its expansive channel selection. DIRECTV doesn't have its own internet service, but luckily, it’s easy to bundle your DIRECTV plan with AT&T or CenturyLink Internet.

You can mix and match DIRECTV plans with either of these internet service providers (ISPs) until you find the ideal bundle option for you. The best DIRECTV bundle is the $124 DIRECTV CHOICE + AT&T Fiber Internet bundle. It gets you free premium channel subscriptions plus top sports channels like NFL Network.

But which bundle is right for you? Let's dig into DIRECTV bundle prices, channels, and internet download speeds to find out.

Budget DIRECTV internet bundles

We have to admit that DIRECTV's TV plans are on the expensive end compared to other TV service providers. But even with its entry-level plan, you'll get favorites like Disney Channel, HGTV, ESPN, and CNN.

We choose the DIRECTV CHOICE + AT&T Fiber Internet 300 bundle as our favorite budget pick. At about $124 a month, it’s not too expensive, and it comes with channels that any sports fan will leap off the couch to scream about. That includes NFL Network and Big Ten Network.

Below, we've highlighted DIRECTV bundles with AT&T Internet. You can get fixed wireless, DSL, or fiber internet bundled with your choice of DIRECTV's ENTERTAINMENT or CHOICE packages.

Are DIRECTV bundles good?

We’d say yes, as long as AT&T or CenturyLink offer close to 100 Mbps download speeds in your area—or faster. If you bundle DIRECTV with internet and can get only, say, 25 Mbps download speeds, it’s definitely worth looking into other options. (Unless you

DIRECTV bundles by channel offerings

Did we mention that DIRECTV has so many channels that everyone in your house will have something to watch?

If you’re after premium channels, like Max, CINEMAX, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME®, and STARZ, you'll get them free for three months with both CHOICE and ENTERTAINMENT. And if you choose a CenturyLink bundle with a PREMIER package, you'll get those channels included. PREMIER also includes international sports channels like the Fox Soccer Channel.

DIRECTV via Internet plans get you 20ish more channels per package, so we recommend its internet packages for a heftier channel count.

But if you’re not a huge movie buff and don’t need to watch the latest cult favorite on Max, it’s likely the DIRECTV ENTERTAINMENT bundles will appeal more to you.

  • ENTERTAINMENT caters to family favorites like Disney Channel, HGTV, and ESPN.
  • CHOICE will have more sports channels, like NFL Network, MLB Network, and the Golf Channel.
  • ULTIMATE comes with ENCORE, Tennis Channel, Boomerang, and PBS Kids.
  • PREMIER is the go-to bundle for movie lovers and international sports fans.

We think most folks will find a happy medium in the DIRECTV CHOICE bundle. You'll get 105–125+ channels and 100 Mbps download speeds or fiber internet speeds of 300 Mbps or 1 gig.

You can check out the channel lineups on our DIRECTV review or DIRECTV's website

DIRECTV bundles by internet download speed

Need maximum internet speeds to keep up with all you do online? CenturyLink offers gigabit internet speeds to pair with your DIRECTV TV plan, but if you don't need those high speeds, you can also order download speeds of 100, 300, or 500Mbps.

If you need gig speeds because you upload many large files, live stream, and many people in your home use the internet, here are your DIRECTV bundle options:

The best value bundle is DIRECTV CHOICE with either AT&T Fiber Internet or Centurylink Fiber Internet, and we strongly advise not to upgrade to the PREMIER package. The ULTIMATE package is $35 less per month and has only 10–15 fewer channels.

If you’re still mulling it over, check out our reviews on AT&T Internet and Centurylink Internet to get more answers to your questions.

Does DIRECTV Internet have unlimited data?

With both AT&T Internet and CenturyLink Internet, you'll get unlimited data. This means you can stream movies, game, connect all of your Wi-Fi-needing devices, scroll through social media, and listen to Spotify as much as you want without worrying about your internet slowing down.

Should you bundle DIRECTV with AT&T or CenturyLink?

The answer depends on where you live. Some states, like California, may have only AT&T Internet as an option, while others have only CenturyLink. If you get lucky and can choose between both providers, AT&T’s bundles tend to be cheaper, while CenturyLink gives you faster internet options.

Use the zip checker below to see which of these two ISPs you can bundle with your DIRECTV service.

How to pick the best DIRECTV bundle

1. Look at what you get for the price.

DIRECTV doesn’t come cheap, but more than likely, it’s worth your while because AT&T is a reliable company. That’s thanks to its variety of channels.

But if you’re sticking to your budget (good on you!), it’s worth looking to see if you can get away with a cheaper DIRECTV bundle. You might even get away with a slower download speed. Just keep in mind that your DIRECTV price goes up after two years.

2. Compare channel offerings.

We keep shouting about DIRECTV’s channel selection, and here’s where we show you why.

DIRECTV has four different packages to choose from, with channel counts depending on whether you have an satellite or internet plan. The cheapest comes with over 75–90 channels. That’s not 50 channels of music and 25 channels of content, by the way. You’ll get to sink into your armchair and enjoy family faves like HGTV and Nickelodeon.

DIRECTV ENTERTAINMENT comes with the following popular channels, plus more:

  • AMC
  • Bravo
  • Freeform
  • Cartoon Network
  • CNN
  • Disney Channel
  • MSNBC
  • ESPN
  • Food Network
  • Fox News
  • Hallmark Channel
  • History
  • HGTV
  • TBS

DIRECTV CHOICE comes with the following popular channels, plus more:

  • Big Ten Network
  • Cooking channel
  • ESPNEWS
  • ESPN U
  • Fuse
  • FX
  • NFL Network
  • Science Channel
  • Travel Channel

DIRECTV ULTIMATE comes with the following popular channels, plus more:

  • Boomerang
  • ENCORE Action
  • NHL Network
  • PBS
  • Sundance Channel
  • Tennis Channel

DIRECTV PREMIER comes with the following popular channels, plus more:

  • CINEMAX ActionMax
  • ESPN CLASSIC
  • FLIX
  • MTV Classic
  • HBO2
  • HBO Family
  • Outdoor Channel
  • STARZ

3. Get enough internet speed.

We mentioned that finding the perfect DIRECTV Wi-Fi internet bundle includes choosing the right download speed.

And whether you bundle your DIRECTV with CenturyLink or AT&T Internet, you’re somewhat at the whim of what speeds those providers offer in your area. But if you happen to get to choose a download speed, here are our basic recommendations:

  • 1–2 people: 40–100 Mbps
  • 2–4 people: 75–300 Mbps
  • 4+ people: 500+ Mbps

And here are our recommendations based on what you do online:

  • Working/studying from home with video calls: 100+ Mbps
  • Using home security cameras: 100+ Mbps
  • Streaming 4K video: 75+ Mbps
  • Gaming: 40+ Mbps for most games
