The EufyCam 2 Pro is the upgraded version of the EufyCam 2, and we like it because it comes with all of the bells and whistles without the subscription fees. You're going to get features like event recording and person detection, and you'll get 180 days of battery life in this camera.

EufyCam 2 Pro features

The EufyCam 2 Pro has secure local storage, so this does come with a base station that holds all of your local storage. The home base itself is a Wi-Fi extender for these cameras, so you don't have to have that base plugged into an Ethernet port. You can move it around the house because it is wireless. And that's an awesome feature.

Not only does Eufy integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google, but it also integrates with Apple HomeKit, which is awesome.

The EufyCam 2 Pro has a plethora of other features we like to see in a camera, including:

  • Wire-free
  • 180-day battery life
  • No monthly fees
  • Night vision
  • Human detection
  • Smart image enhancement
  • IP67 waterproofing rating
  • 100 dB siren
  • Multi-user access
  • Instant notifications
  • Two-way audio
  • Activity zones

EufyCam 2 Pro setup

Setting up the EufyCam 2 Pro is really easy. We'll break it down for you.

  1. Download the Eufy Security app and log in.
  2. Click Add Device on the bottom of the home screen.
  3. Select the device you want to add (in this case, the EufyCam 2 Pro).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

EufyCam 2 Pro app features

Now that we have the camera set up, we want to go over some of the features in the app. From the app's home screen, you can see thumbnails of all your connected cameras. You can click on any camera and the app will load your live stream for that camera.

From here, you have a few options for interacting with your camera. You can:

  • Record a clip
  • Take a photo of the camera's feed
  • Use the two-way audio, push-to-talk feature
  • Adjust night vision setting
  • Turn on the camera siren

You can also adjust each individual camera's settings. You can:

  • Rename the camera
  • Turn on and off the camera
  • Turn on and off the status LED light
  • Turn on and of the auto night vision
  • Turn on and off the anti-theft detection
  • Set up activity zones and adjust motion-detection sensitivity and types
  • Set power modes
  • Adjust clip length for recordings
  • Set video quality for live streams and recordings
  • Adjust volume settings
  • Adjust notification settings
  • Select where recordings are stored
Anti-theft detection
Info Box

Anti-theft detection is a cool feature that sets an alarm on the camera itself. If the camera is moved, the siren on the camera and on the base station in the house will go off.

EufyCam 2 Pro demo

We ran several visual and audio tests on the EufyCam 2 Pro camera. Watch the full demo (including night vision).

Overall, we think the quality is great. The 2K resolution especially makes the night vision shine.

Recap: Is the EufyCam 2 Pro good?

We do really like the EufyCam 2 Pro and would recommend it for anybody who wants to check out a nice, affordable security camera and doesn't want to pay subscription fees.

With all of the cool things in this camera, it's still missing one thing and that is a built-in spotlight. Eufy does have another camera, the EufyCam 2C Pro, that has a built-in spotlight, but we would like to see a spotlight in the 2 Pro.
