How to Stream Hamilton on Disney+

How can we stream this miraculous Broadway show?

Let’s get straight to it: the Broadway show, Hamilton, will premiere on July 3, 2020, on Disney+.

Disney+ is bringing Broadway to your home right in the middle of summer. It’s the perfect time for when we need a little entertainment for the Fourth of July weekend.

Hamilton was actually supposed to have a theatrical release in 2021, but due to COVID-19, the production is releasing a year early!

And if you haven’t been lucky enough to watch Hamilton on stage because you couldn’t get a ticket, then this is the next best thing.

This musical film of Alexander Hamilton’s story will feature the original Hamilton cast, such as Leslie Odom Jr. and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Miranda being the mastermind behind this Broadway musical that became a cultural phenomenon).

After watching this incredible Broadway show on your TV, you know you’re going to have the Hamilton soundtrack stuck in your head.

How much does Disney+ cost?

You can get Disney+ for less than the price of a Disneyland turkey leg (but you can’t stop us from spending $12 on that delicious snack).

But if you want the ultimate entertainment bundle, you can get Disney+ along with ESPN+ and Hulu (the on-demand service) or Hulu + Live TV.

Keep in mind, the $18.99/month and the $67.99/month pricing is for no ads in your Hulu service. We know we’d spend $6 extra for no interruptions.

What is Hamilton?

Hamilton is a Broadway musical that first premiered in New York City on January 20, 2015. Created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, it was inspired by the biography of Alexander Hamilton, who is one of the Founding Fathers of the US. The show’s music features hip-hop, R&B, pop, soul, and traditional-style show tunes.

How long will Hamilton be on Disney+?

No one knows for sure at this moment, but we do know Disney+ paid $75 million for the rights to Hamilton. So we assume Disney+ wouldn’t let its subscribers enjoy this production for just a weekend or two.

In other words, don’t worry if you’ll be at the lake for the Fourth of July weekend. You can watch it, or play it on a loop, when you get back.
