Verizon is one of the big dogs in the wireless industry. It offers the best mobile network in the country, with fast data speeds and tons of perks. But that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to get someone from the company on the phone.

Verizon’s customer service isn’t the best in the telecommunications industry, but it is a good step ahead of some, like Xfinity customer service.1 So we’re here to help make your customer service experience a bit easier.

Verizon customer service phone numbers

The best way to get customer service from Verizon is to call directly. There’s just no substitute for talking with a real human being (even if you’ve got to wade through a few automated menus first). Here’s a look at all of the customer service numbers you might need.

Hopefully one of these numbers put you through to an incredibly friendly (sometimes their almost too friendly though, amirite?) customer service agent. If not, here are some other ways to get help from Verizon.

Other ways to get help

If you don’t like talking on the phone (it’s so '90s), then there are plenty of other ways to get help from Verizon, no matter what issue you’re facing.

You can contact a customer service representative directly using Messenger or by sending a text message. If you’d prefer to see what other Verizon customers have to say about your problem, check out the Verizon Community forums.

If you’re an active Verizon Wireless customer you can sign in to My Verizon using the app on your phone or on your web browser. From there you can reach out to customer support about issues specific to your account.

Verizon also has plenty of other online FAQs and resources on its support website.

Verizon Wireless customer service performance

Prospective customers (and existing customers who’re tired of waiting on hold) might be wondering: how does Verizon’s customer service rank compared to other companies?

Well, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s (ACSI) Customer Satisfaction Reports, Verizon does just fine by its customers.1 In the mobile category, Verizon ties with US Mobile for second, just behind T-Mobile.2

Compared to other companies in the broader telecommunications industry, Verizon ranks among the best for customer service. In second place, it easily beats Comcast customer service (in tenth) and DIRECTV customer service (in fourth).

But surveys aren’t the only metric that matters. We’re curious about what you think about Verizon customer service. Let us know in the comments section below.
