Sam went to the University of Minnesota and got his B.A. in Creative Writing with a minor in Visual Art (and almost in theater… so close). Sam started out his career as a photo editor for Lerner Books in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went on to be Content Director at backcountry.com, producing written content, overseeing photo, and building a video team from scratch. He was then Editor in Chief and Marketing Director for a sports marketing agency, a 90’s rock star, a premier Italian cycling company, and beyond. Finally, he got a Masters in English Education. Now, in his waning years, he giggles at his coworker’s memes and gifs, edits words, challenges ideas, and sits on the board of a local kids’ charity—because it’s all about the kids.
